Grand Floridian/suite/concierge questions--please help!

We have booked a 2 bdrm concierge suite at the GF for Dec. 10-15. No one has contacted us yet...but we need help in the following areas.

--Need a crib for our suite
--Need to make Priority Seatings for dinner
--Need to arrange transfers to and from airport

Does anyone know who I can contact to arrange these things--or what the email or phone number for the GF concierge is? No one has contacted us at all, and we made the reservations months ago.

I am getting nervous that the service won't be what we expect it to be...the trip is less than 3 months away and I thought they would have contacted us by now. For the price of that suite, we are expecting pretty good service.

Don't worry... I contacted them first to get the ball rolling and got nothing but impeccable service. They will do everything that they can and definately try to talk with only one planner... learn their name and communicate soley (or at least mostly) with them. That way no mistakes will happen.

They ususlly contact you 45 days prior to your arrival - don't worry, the staff is excellent...you will have everything you need and then some

for transfers, if I may, to save you money (GF will charge you a lot more money) and also the best service, I would recommend Southern Elegance Limousines. the cars are brand spanking new, and the service is above and beyond. the price for a town car to GF from Orlando airport is 90.00 ROUNDTRIP! Mears is 70.00 one way and I have found mears cars to be dirty and old. They are there early, and they wait for you at baggage claim. They also have the most beautiful stretches I have ever seen, including life size mickey mouse and friends in the back and cold sodas and water. We have used them the last 3 times we have gone to Orlando, the last just being this week. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I read about them on these boards and decided to give them a try based on the rave reviews.

I've stayed quite a few times at the GF in concierge and they don't always get in touch with you first. I would highly recommend that you e-mail them right away and initiate contact. I really wish that all the resort pre-planners would follow the same guidelines. We're staying for the first time at the YC and the ladies in the IPO department there are remarkable. Within a few days of making my reservation, they sent me the key to access the concierge floor, a packet with park maps, recreation, resort info and a questionnaire that asked about special needs, priority seating arrangements and transportation. You'll find the GF pre-planning staff to be very professional, but I think they lack a certain amount of "magic". That's just my opinion though.
