Grand Floridian Pool Closure

Does anyone have information about the main pool being closed at the GF for refurbishment?

If what you read is true isn't there more then 1 pool at the Grand Floridian, so the guests staying there might not be shut out of swimming there?

There are 2 pools at the GF. The "quiet" pool and the other pool located on the Polynesian side with the slide. I do not think both pools would be closed at once even in colder weather.

Thanks for that info and I agree that I don't think the pools will be closing for renovation. If that were to happen someone would have posted this a long time ago.

The reason I asked this is because when I first made my ressies for the beginning of Feb., nothing was said about a pool closure. When I called to modify this ressie, I was notified that the main pool would be closed for refurbishment, but that the pool near the beach would be open.

For Guest enjoyment, the Beach feature pool and slide as well as the Polynesian Pool will continue to be operating during this timeframe.

We were booking for a mid Jan trip just five weeks ago and none of this was up except for CBR and the Boardwalk.

Just shows you have to check constantly if you want to be sure.

We are going the beginning of Feb. so I am assuming that the pool will be closing sometime around Feb. We were told we could use the pool at the Poly.
