Grand Floridian Main Buidling ?

Does anyone know if the main building at GF has any "standard" rooms or are they all concierge rooms?

We have 2 standard rooms booked in early June and my mother has a rough time getting around (recently had a lung removed and is recovering slowly.) I was thinking it might be easier on her to be in the main building...less walking, closer to monorail. Before I request a room in the main buidling, I want to be sure that non-concierge rooms in the main building actually exist.

Also, are there any drawbacks to main buidling rooms that I might not be aware of?

I haven't stayed there, but from what I have read, I believe all the rooms in the main building are concierge or suites.

Yes, all of the rooms in the Main Building are concierge rooms.

The GF utilizes golf cart type vehicles to transport guests when they are checking in with their luggage. Perhaps if you called the resort directly, you could ask them about the closest location for the monorail and also if they would be willing to assist your mother with transporation on one of the carts if it becomes necessary. We saw them in use constantly, so I can't imagine that it would be a problem for them.
