Grand Floridian Discounts

Going to Disney next november with friends. Planning on staying at the GF with everyone. H & I are DVC members, do we get a discount on the room to stay there? And if so, how does that work, who should I book with and when.

Nope, no discounts on the non-DVC resorts. There are sometimes discounts available for DVC members who are making cash reservations for DVC villas, but nothing for the other resorts.

Do you have an AP? You can often get decent discounts with that.

You can book the Grand Floridian using your DVC points but you will also have to pay the $95 fee to do so. The recommendation of purchasing an AP and checking AP rates is the best way to go IMHO.

If you belong to AAA, you can often snag a decent discount as well. AAA discounts come out well ahead of AP discounts. Years ago AP discounts were so much better and I often booked AAA and then switched to AP. These days AAA is often as good as AP rates...or very close to it.

But if you do book a reservation with AAA discount, I would do it directly through DRC not AAA.
