Grand Floridian - Deluxe Concierge - Any Pics?

In my opinion, the very best room in RPC is romm 4422. It's huge and overlooks the wedding chapel with a very large balcony. Also it is a very short walk to the concierge lounge.

4422 is the option 2 style standard deluxe. A great choice.

Now what about ones with 2 beds?
These are the layouts for the "standard" deluxe rooms in the main building:

The room numbers for each option are:
Option 1 design: 4319, 4419, 4320, 4420
Option 2 design: 4322, 4422

Here are pictures from room #4422, http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=20544923&postcount=10

No problem. I think it was a bit easier to explain when Disney called the king rooms "honeymoon suites". Now that they're all deluxe and only separated by the word "king", it can be very confusing.

Tammi,

Who would i talk to to request a certain room #. I think it would be kinda possible. would it be the IPO?

Also, what do each of these room types face? Do any of them of the style of room 4422 face the marina?

Yes. I've been told that there is a different room assignor for club level.

The option 2 design are going to overlook the beach area. You can see the view in the picture link that I sent you. The option 1 design has the smaller balcony and overlooks the garden/pool. You might get an obstructed view of the higher fireworks from an option 1 room, but none of them overlook the marina. The range of room numbers that have direct castle views are 4201-4209 (king honeymoon rooms), 4301-4309 (3rd floor standard club level rooms) and 4401-4409 (4th floor standard club level rooms).

Tammi,

How do you know all this stuff? Ur pretty good.

Also, would you suggest i call the RPC or the GF to request a room number?

Actually, the room numbers on the 2nd floor (king deluxe) are 4201-4209, 3rd floor 4301-4309, and 4th floor 4401-4409. There are no rooms ending in 10, but instead the single elevator is where that room would be. Next to this area on the second floor is Citricos, on the 3rd floor 4311 is the Roy Disney Suite, and on the 4th floor 4411 is the Walt Disney Suite.

Thanks. It just happens to be one of my favorite resorts, so I've done a lot of research on it.

When you make your reservation, you can certainly have them note a request for a specific room number. About 7 or 8 months out from your vacation dates, you should hear from the IPO (itinerary planning office) for the GF. These are the CM's who can assist you with your ADR's, spa appointments, special celebrations, entertainment tickets and also can help you out with any specific room requests. Normally, they talk to you via e-mail. You can certainly e-mail them first (after your reservation is made) and they'll start a file for you with any special requests. There is a phone number for the IPO office, but they seem to handle e-mails in a more timely manner.

Hi Cali-D  . Cali-D is actually responsible for my GF obsession :thumbsup2 .

That's one room style I haven't stayed in yet. From looks alone, I lean towards Option 2, just because I like the layout better and it's not one big square room. I've had rooms in the main building which overlook the beach and it's a view that I really do enjoy, especially in the evenings.

Hi Tammi :wave2: I need to get back in touch with my GF obsession, lol. Ate at Narcossees and Citricos last week, boy did it make me remember how much I love the resort (was staying at the BWV). Next year I'll be back at the GF :thumbsup2

So if i am correct, the Option 2 rooms face the poly and the wedding chapel and the Option 1 rooms face the main pool in the middle of all the Keys.

I like them both. Option 1 is more spacious, but Option 2 has the much larger balcony and a more unique setup. You really can't go wrong with either.

I have stayed in 4422 and do have some pics. These were taken a few years ago before the recent renovations. It is a lovely room and in a great location to the lounge!
