I just found out there is not availability for concierge GV at the Poly when we are going. I looked at GF concierge. What are your views with that and are there balconies? How is the concierge staff, are they helpful and friendly, and does anyone have pics of their stay there...........THANKS

I've never been to the GF, but I've heard the concierge lounge can be REALLY noisy.

GF concierge is our all time favorite. As for views.....are you talking Sugar Loaf concierge or Royal Palm Club (main building).....We have done SL once and most of our recent Disney stays have been RPC - it's the BEST. In RPC we have had castle views, but that is request only. There are also beautiful garden views from the main building.

Sugar Loaf views are of marina or courtyard garden/pool. Some marina views may offer a peek at the castle from the side, but we had a courtyard view and it was lovely & I would do that again in SL.

All standard rooms have balconies. We had a Sugar Loaf tower room on the top floor that did not have a balcony, but we requested that room category and didn't mind. There are turret honeymoon rooms in the main building that do not have a balcony.

I have never had any problems with the GF lounges. Ever. The CMs are very helpful and friendly and housekeeping has always been perfect. I can't wait to go back!

We have stayed Poly LVC and GVC and GF beats it in all ways.

i love the GF concierge! (RPC) you can check out my trip report in my siggy for reports and pictures. I have stayed twice and don't have any complaints.

There is absolutely no comparison to the GF concierge. I stayed in the main building in the Royal Palm Club. Sugar Loaf concierge is in a different building. The RPC staff makes you feel so comfortable and so at home. They were extremely helpful upon check in. A staff member greeted us as we got off of the Magical Express bus from the airport and took us right up to concierge. She checked us in and gave us a folder of maps, a list of our dinner reservations that had previously been made, and a GF newsletter. When we went to book other reservations throughout our stay, they were extremely helpful and gave us great suggestions. There are balconies with every room (I believe). We had a spectacular view overlooking one of the pools and we could see all of the other buildings as well. I would highly recommend the GF concierge.
