We have stayed in the main building at the GF several times with a castle/marina view Room 4404 and 4304. To me there is nothing like standing on the balcony with your family when the fire works are going off and the castle is changing colors and if the wind is blowing the right way you can hear the music. I get teary eyed every time. I can't wait to go back this April and experience that again. I think the Conch Key building has some theme park views as well. Maybe you can call and see which building they have you in. This way you have a better idea. The boat dock is another nice place to watch the fire works and the EWP. You will have a great time.![]()
I called and asked them last week cause I read where the Conch Building is being renovated and the CM told me they werent able to tell me yet.
Oh well....as long as I can sit and see that castle, Im a happy camper!
Just to clarify, it's a theme park view, not a castle view. Some of the rooms do look out towards the castle and others look towards Space Mountain. There's no way to guarantee a castle view.I just books the Grand Floridian Castle view for 12 people - is this worth the extra price? What has been your experience? Any suggestions for room locations?![]()
Oh that's too bad but like you said at least you will be able to sit and see the castle. That is a feeling that you just can't describe. Don't forget the boat dock. They have benches there where you can sit with your family and watch everything and you can take fabulous pictures from there as well. The beach is another great place to watch as well. Hope you all have a great time.

Sago Cay and Conch Key are probably the best ones to request. Any rooms not yet renovated are due to be complete in a few weeks.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news then. A specific view within a vew category is nothing more than a request. It will depend on the availability when you arrive. The only resort that will guarantee a castle view if you book that category, is the CR.![]()

Well, when I booked my room, I asked them to make sure it is a CASTLE view...so maybe they will honor my request!!!
Now Im surely nervous about spending that much extra and only looking at big ol' space mountain!![]()
When we were there in February, we were in Big Pine Key and had a LV room, so we would go to Gasparilla's and get some snacks, and sit at the tables by the docks and look at the castle! I loved it! I cant imagine how it will be with a view on my balcony!!! Its been my DREAM to have a castle view from the GF, so Im super excited!!!!!![]()
Here is a photo I snapped from the balcony in the room we had earlier this year.
We were in the main building, in Royal Palm, or something like that.
Just pure fluke we got this room. I booked a lagoon view room.![]()
