Grand Floridian Cafe and Lobster Bread Pudding???

Okay, so the main reason to eat breakfast here is because DH and DD have the have the Lobster Eggs Benedict but the last time we had them in 08 it had chucks of lobster on it, worth the $18. So I see they changed it to Lobster Bread Pudding. What are your views on this? Is it good? I'm afraid it might be a deal breaker as far as DH and DD are concerned which means a change in our ADR. TIA

I had it on my birthday and I thought it was awful. It was mushy asparagus and everything tasted (including the lobster) like it had been sitting in aspargus juice. I had to force myself to eat the lobster. Anyway. I will never be ordering this again.

Okay this is not sounding very good right now.Any more opinions out there? Should I be looking for a back up plan? Does anyone know where you can get real Lobster Eggs Benedict on Disney property?TIA

I hope is hasnt' changed that is the reason why I booked my DH wants to try it. The charcater buffet @ GF has it on the menu, but if it changes at one it may change at the other.

My thoughts exactly. I'm afraid if I change my ADR (if I even can) that it will be the same elseware. The wonderful pancakes I had last time were also gone. I know Disney likes to change up the menues from time to time by why do they change the things I like?

We went to 1900 PF for BF in may and they had the lobster eggs benedict. They were really good. Maybe try there??

My DH loved it in May but thought it was too rich. It did have chunks of lobster as well as the lobster bread pudding. The asparagus was not mushy at all and actually he thought there wasn't enough taste of asparagus, because everything else was so rich and sweet (eggs, Hollandaise, lobster, bread pudding). He couldn't finish it. He wished it had regular bread or an English muffin instead of the lobster bread pudding, but it did have tons of chunks of lobster as well. You can see them clearly in the picture.

I should point out that my DH doesn't usually like very sweet or rich food at breakfast, so some people might not find it as too-rich as he did.

I tried it at 1900 PF last week and I did not think it was anygood at all. I tried the Grand Floridean burger (with Lobster, Hollandaise, and Asperagus) and it was average, but too many flavor combinations. Now, the carmelized onion and cheese soup was absolutely amazing.

Hi there, thanks so much for the info and pic. So what they have actually done is replace the English muffin with the bread pudding? If that's all it is than it sounds good to me and most likely DH & DD.

I never had it before, but that was how I understood it. It still had poached eggs, Hollandaise, lobster, and asparagus.
