Grand Floridan Question

The day we arrive, we have a dinner reservation at the Grand Floridan for a character dining. I believe it was originally supposed to be at the 1900 Park Fare resturaunt (under construction), which was supposed to be a buffet. I thought I read somewhere now it is not a buffet at the new resturaunt. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I believe that the Grand Floridian Cafe is holding the character meal which usually is at 1900 Park Fare. I remember reading that it was a pre-plated meal. I think you have a choice of certain different meals such as prime rib, pasta, some of the types of things you would have seen at the buffet or from the original Grand Floridian Cafe menu.

Yes, it is pre-plated and none too good at that. The service was not up to par. I would not recommend it. Take the monorail over to the Poly and try Ohana. It was much better! Have a fun trip.

I've always enjoyed the GF cafe for breakfast and dinner before. It's a shame to hear that it has slipped during this refurb period. Hopefully they will get into the swing of things again.

O boy...Now im nervous! I really don't know what to do. This is basically our first meal for our trip. We have never been here before. IDK, maybe I will just keep it and try our luck
