Grand Cayman Snorkel

Any thoughts on Disney's Grand Cayman snorkel excursions other than Stingray City? How about the 7-mile sail and snorkel, shipwreck and reef snorkeling or the nautilus undersea tour and reef?
Are we really limiting ourselves by staying with a Disney excursion? What if you book (and pay for) your own excursion and then the ship doesn't stop at that port?

you are responsible for canceling your excursion if you booked outside of DCL, and some probably have a number of hours before you forfeit your money that they need to know you are not coming. Make sure to ask about their policy on refunding excursions because the ship could not dock...

On our first trip to Grand Cayman, we did the reef and shipwreck which was very nice. Next time we plan on just walking to Abanks (about two blocks away) and snorkling from there. We'll get a couple of beach chairs for $6 each and bring our own gear.
