Is there any chance of anything other than rack rate in July? I tried Disneyland.com and AAA. I'd like to stay at the GC because of the access to DCA, but wow is it pricey! Any suggestions?:confused3
:rolleyes1

Wow, July is tough. I am sorry I have no good advice. Many of us look and wait for bargains, AP rates and specials. They are few and far between these days. I am afraid the rates have gone way up and if we want to stay onsite, we pay a premium price. Some have raved about Getaway today, maybe try them? Was AAA and Costco really expensive? Good luck, I hope you book soon!

I looked into what Disneyland considers off season/or value, and I was told by Disney Travel 350-400 a night. It's their top, luxuary resort.Even the travel agent said it's really pricey if you're only going for the park, and not the spa and things they offer also.

They are very expensive...I went to Wxpedia where I usually book them...lower prices and they were very high but also wanted to book 3 weeks from know...I decises to use my DVC points instead for 2 nights.

Check out expedia.com and put Hotel in and Aneheim..or Disneyland and it will bring up the prices for then and also are cheeper than calling DL....

Good luck!!!! the other 2 hotels are nice also on site....you may want to check them out...

Thanks for the input so far folks! My husband really wants to go to CA this year...I'm thinking it's just going to be too much money and too many miles tooling around CA with our kids playing video games in a rental car with no interest in the gorgeous sights to see...!!! I've been 3x before as a young adult. I'd rather just do more CA trips as an empty nester..enjoying the state as an adult, but that is so far away But if we go now, we've got to go to DL! And since it has been 20 years since DL, we've got to stay at a nice hotel!
I'll check expedia! Maybe it will be GC here we come!

I booked GC using AAA for 4 nights, I thought it would of been cheaper then when I went last Christmas, well it was but for 4 nights it came out oo $1407.60. I know that is alot of $$$$ but that hotel works for me. I have MS and walking far can at some point be trying on my legs or I should say my whole body. I founf DLH to be a little less but trust me you were talking a real smal amount. Keep checking and no matter what you do you will have a good time.

Have a great time...I also booked it but for 2 night and decided to use my DVC points...the hotel would have been over $800 but since we have pts made perfect sence to just use them....we have been saving them for our 2008 Mexican Riviera back to back cruise but the pts still have not come out yet so will pay the difference later....have a great time:thumbsup2

I stayed there last year, late July, for $219 a night - AP special rate. Could happen again so keep your fingers crossed.
