we are headed to GC using our BLT developer points! :)

I can't find anything about dining plans .... do they offer them at DL like they do at WDW? I would love to add it ...just curious if anyone knows! Thanks!

Like the ones they have in DW. A couple of years ago, when we went they offered a dining plan (don't know if they still offer this)

However, you prepay for a how many days in advance - they give you Disney Dollars to use at the accepted places to eat, not all places accepted this. And if you did not spend all the Disney Dollars it was lost at the end. There was no incentive for us to buy the Disney Dollars when we could just use cash and get change back or just use our own credit card. Unlike DW where there is a incentive to save 30-40% off your meals...not so at Disneyland.

Maybe things have changed...love to hear from those that have been recently.

In fact, we will be staying at GrandCal. this coming summer and would love a dining plan like the one they offer at DW.

One good thing about DL is there is a 10% DVC dining discount almost everywhere, table service & counter service.

There is also a great amount of offsite places to eat that are very close to the parks!

This is a link to the DL dining plan options. http://bookdlr.reservations.disney....strPageName=2009_Guest_STD_DiningOption_PopUp

Keep in mind that it does not give you the savings that the WDW dining plan does but if you want to prepay some of your food costs it is an option. I don't know if it is combinable with the DVC/AP dining discounts when you purchase your food.

You would have to ask MS if these dining plans could be added on to your reservation. They are normally offered with the reservations made through WTC.

There are a few people on the DLR forum who like the dining plan there, but most do it for a perceived convenience of having it all paid for.

But the reality is that if you spend less than the amount of your voucher, you do NOT get change back. So you want to spend MORE than the amount of your voucher, and you'll pay OOP for that. It's not much of a value, and it's nothing, absolutely nothing, like the DP at WDW.
