I tried researching this on WDW's website, but could not get enough information.

Has anyone done either Grand Adventures in Cooking or Disney's Pirate Adventure?

I am interested in knowing the days and time and the pricing. Also, did your children enjoy these activities?

Thank you.

My DS did the Grand Adventures in cooking when he was 4, and he loved it. There was only one other girl enrolled with him at the time. They made strawberry shortcakes, decorated their own apron and chef's hat, then served the strawberry shortcake to guests at the Grand Floridian. I thought it was worth it. Let me know if you have any questions.

My girls did the pirate adventure at 5 and 7 yo with cousins 6 and 8 and had a BLAST. They thought it was very cool to have some "time away" and do something with kids!
Since then we always book an evening at a kids club so they can get a fill of video games, crafts, dress up and kid stuff. Oh and DH and I can have a nice dinner as well - love the planning DVD for that little gift.

My 6yr old DD did both of these activities last year. To get the information on price and days, I would call the Disney Dining # for that info.

To answer your questions about the Pirate Cruise. The kids catch their pirate ship at the dock at the Grand Flo. There they get life preservers and a pirate hat with Mickey ears on it (so cute). You get a pager in case something happens to your child and they need to get in touch with you. Then they get on their boat and away they go to find buried treasure and have lunch - a pb&j sandwich. They are gone for a couple of hours and while she was gone DH, other DD and I caught the monorail and had breakfast at The Concord Steakhouse at the Contemporary. When they returned the kids got some "loot" and DD had a great time - she would love to go again!!!

For the Cooking Class - this is also at the Grand Flo. The kids decorate their own cooking apron and have chef hats with Mickey ears on it (so cute!!!). They do not do any cooking, they put icing on cookies that are already baked. This is also a couple of hours and we went shopping at The Contemporary and at the Grand Flo. You also receive a pager just like the Pirate Cruise. When the class is coming to a close the kids parade into the lobby with their aprons on with the teacher pushing a cart of decorated cookies of which the kids then hand out to their family. DD really loved this too!!

I hope this helps and if you have anyother questions please feel free to ask!!
Have a good day!!

My boys did the pirate cruise last april and loved it!! Would definitely recommend. My advice though is to book it ahead of time (I think you can do it 90 days in advance). You book it like a PS by calling WDW Dine. When we went there was a waiting list. I think its gotten pretty popular.

I can't wait for my kids to do this in April when we go... And for dh and I to have about 2 hours by ourselves without them. They are going to to the Wonderland Tea Party too so another hour to ourselves! Hmm where is a good place to go eat that isn't to fancy but fun????
