Hi:
I was wondering if anyone knew if a 3 1/2 yo can do the Grand Adventures in Cooking. Our other granddaughter has done the GA in Cooking, Tea Party and Pirates Cruise in the past and loved them all, but she was 5 and older when she did them. I want to sign up our granddaughter who will be 3 1/2 yo when we go, but I noticed that it starts with age 4. Is this a suggested age or is it the rule? Thanks for the help.

They always ask for an age and I think birthdate, so I'm pretty sure it's a rule. I think for activities where kids will be seperated from parents (GA Cooking, Pirates Cruise, Kids Clubs, etc.) 4 is the minimum age for all of them.

Four is the minimum age for many reasons.
The younger the child, the harder it is for them to be away from their parent for 2 hours. Especially with a room full of stangers.
In cooking class, there allot of directions to follow and they can't eat. We put allot of great looking food, for kids, in front of them and expect them to not even lick their fingers. Very hard for the younger kids and when they are asked to wash hands after licking, they are very likely to get upset, thinking they are in trouble.
The little kids are always cute, but it just isn't a good experience for them.
Wait till the child is older and will enjoy the experience. It will be better for all of you.
You will be able to go and do something without worring about your child and you won't be getting paged when something does go wrong.
Nothing worse then getting a massage and getting the page to pick up your child. It happened today to a mom and she wasn't happy. Should have been her time to relax, but that didn't happen.
We really do want you all to have an enjoyable time and the age restrictions try to help to ensure this.

It was nice to see a post about this. I am trying to book my dd6 during our OCT trip, but all the dates are booked. I keep checking for a cancellation. I sure hope that I can get her in because figmentcrazy's post make it sound great!

Keep checking, cancelations do happen, even up to the morning of the event. Just keep calling the dining line.
Good luck
