Graduation Gown - How do you get wrinkles out?

I ended up spraying it with water and throwing it in the dryer. It helped a little. Ceremony was this morning.

Downey Wrinkle Release spray. Best. Invention. Ever.

It sure is! I make my own now, and take it everywhere.

I steamed my gown and it was perfect. If I had not had a steamer, I would have used a paper towel or tea towel over teh material and ironed it. I would have sprayed it first.

I agree with the wrinkle release spray! Dollar General sells a store brand version and it works the same and smells the same as the Downy. Last I checked, Downy was in the $6-$7 range and the DG version is $2. I NEVER iron anymore. For really stubborn wrinkle I use the spray and chuck it in the dryer.

My mom just used a sheet over the top of the gown and used a lower setting. It worked great!

Well, OP's son graduated almost 6 years ago, so I hope they got the wrinkles out by now.

I would hang it in a bathroom and let the shower run with straight hot water to steam them out.

Yes, this. Hang the gown in your busiest bathroom and leave it 'til graduation day.

No, a brand new poster did. The mods deleted the post about 30 minutes later. IDK why, it was their first post and it wasn't inappropriate. Just talked about having it steam in a hot bathroom with the shower on.

ETA: this morning was weird. When I logged I saw at least 3 threads that were vulgar. (not the ones in Korean, these were crass) I know many of us reported them. Maybe there was a connection? Not sure.
