Hi Everyone! This is my first PTR/TR so bear with me!

We are going to DISNEY WORLD March 6-13 to celebrate my DBF Patrick's (aka PatRat) college graduation!

Cast (Pics to follow later):

ME: Katie
21 years old and completely in love with all things Disney. I am a junior in college and hope to one day work for the Mouse. Patrick and I have been together for 5.5 years :flower3:

DBF: Patrick
22 years old and enjoys visiting the Mouse (tolerates my non-stop obsession!). He is the reason for this trip. In May he will graduate from college, so this is his Spring Break trip to relax and get ready to join the working world :p

DBF's DMom: Ann
Loves the Mouse and over the last 3 years has fueled my love of Disney. We have gone with her on 2 previous trips to see Mickey, but this will be the first trip with just the three of us going. She is a wonderful person and fun to be around. As a former teacher she embraces the child within and just has fun no matter where she is!

We are staying at POP! for our trip. This will be our first time staying there for Patrick and I and we can't wait.

Yay, Katie started her PTR! I just noticed that because I JUST noticed it in your siggy.

I'm so excited to be first :rotfl2:

So cute that you and Patrick have been together for so long. I kind of figured that you had been when you said that you remembered him cutting up his face on your 16th birthday, but I wasn't sure exactly how long it had been.

I think that you will really like Pop. I'll be bringing back TONS of pictures. I'm not sure if you guys requested anything, but we stayed in the 70's last April, and my mom requested that again for this trip--it's a pretty short walk to Classic Hall and the bus stops and stuff. I just wanted to throw that out there just in case.

Looking forward to more  How many days do you have left?

HI!!!!

I hadn't even realized that you had posted :flower3: sorry!

We have 26 Days left! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: We didn't request anything other then preferred...So it will be a surprise!

I'm trying to figure out how to post some pics, so hopefully I will have them up in a bit! Thanks for stopping by!

Ok, I think I've figured out how to post pics, so here is a photo introduction of our little group:

For some reason I can't find any photos of just Patrick and I, so you get to see my cute cousins as well!!!

And since Meg asked for one of our FurBaby,

Here's Bailey! (Though he doesn't get to go to DisneyWorld :rotfl: )

I'll be on later (hopefully) to share a few updates!

Yay pictures! It's nice to be able to put faces to names. I love the picture of you with your cousin, it's so cute! The little guy with Patrick is adorable, too.

Bailey is such a cutie!!! Thank you so much for posting a picture of him. :flower3: I love seeing pictures of other people's dogs. He looks like he has a little doggie version of a moustache, it's adorable. :rotfl2:

If you have a Facebook or anything like that, you can post pictures from there -- that's what I normally do.

I thought of you earlier, because my dad's heading out around that area to do some work for a couple of days. At least, I'm pretty sure he'll be around you. I mix up Buffalo, Syracuse, and Rochester in my mind. :rotfl: It's because he goes to all those places fairly often, we drive through those general areas going to and from Ohio, we've stayed in Rochester on the way home from Ohio, you live in Buffalo, and I have another friend in Syracuse. I know it's a large state, but in my mind, they're all very closely tied.

I'll be waiting for the updates!!

:rotfl: Rochester and Syracuse are in the general neighborhood....lol...ROC is about 45 minutes from us and Syracuse takes about 2.5 hours (when Patrick drives  ) Next time you are in our area let me know! Maybe we could do a mini-dis meet! Oh, I forgot to tell you that I thought of you a couple of weeks ago when we were in Syracuse (Patrick took me to the Disney store!), I got Jack Skellington (sp?) pj pants on clearance!

My cousins are great, they live in NC and were up for Xmas, so I got to spend a few days with them. The two little boys are currently my Cousin's foster children, but we are very hopeful that she and her husband will be able to adopt them this year! So, in my mind they are already my cousins.

Bailey just got a haircut last weekend, so I will have to post some more pics when I go home next weekend. Good luck finishing up your stuff this week...the next two days will fly I'm sure.

I do have facebook, but I actually managed to figure out how to post pics through photobucket! Thanks for the tip though

Oh good, I thought they were all hours apart. That would be so cool to do a mini Dis meet! We usually stop in that area on the way home from Ohio. I'll have to bug my dad about stopping in Buffalo for the night the next time we go.

My mom got Jack Skellington PJ pants too!! I think that she got them online, I was really jealous. The Disney store closest to me closed, and I have no idea how to get to the mall that has the other one.

Haha, I think that Caesar needs a haircut too. His fur is long-ish in areas, and he looks like has Muppet feet because the fur there is long, too.

I had a hard time posting pictures from Photobucket at first, strangely. I just clicked and got the image address and tried posting that way, but I got just links with the
things on either side. :confused3 I finally figured it out though. Some of my pictures are big and the others are normal sized -- the normal ones are from FB.

Thanks again for the good luck -- I am sure it will fly by too! I'm actually just now going to get ready to go to my mom's class for 8, and then I have a bunch of things to do before class tonight. I like keeping busy to make the time go by faster. Have a good day!

Hi Everyone (Meaning Megablocks :rotfl: )

When we first started planning this trip back in November, it was not a positive that we were going to go, but I made the executive decision that we needed at least one ADR since we are going during spring break. So I called ahead and managed to snag a reservation at...CHEF MICKEY'S for dinner :thumbsup2

When we finally finalized our trip the first thing I did was call WDW Dining to make more ADR's because we were discussing getting the dining plan.

I got some really really good ones too! Now however we have decided to cancel most of them since we are not going to get the dining plan. So I now face a tough decision...Which ones to cancel and which ones to keep, so I need some help....What do you think I should keep?

Here they are:

Saturday March 7- 6pm @ Le Cellier
Sunday March 8- 5pm @ Tony's
Monday March 9- 6:15pm @ Chef Mickey's ( I think that this one is a keeper)
Wednesday March 11- 6:30pm @ Coral Reef
Thursday March 12- 12:30pm @ Whispering Canyon Cafe

I went to WDW for the first time in October for my college graduation present also! I hope you had a great trip :)

Thanks! We are really looking forward to it! Hard to beleive that its only three weeks away :goodvibes

This will be our third trip together...we love going!

Hey!! So did you guys sort out which ADR's are staying and which ones are going?

That's a good idea to not keep them all since you're not doing the DDP. The food court at Pop is pretty good, too. As you know, my sister is very picky, but she always managed to find something. If I just wanted something small, I got a side of breadsticks -- 2 breadsticks and a little cup of marinara sauce for like $2. :thumbsup2 I'm not normally a big fan of carrot cake, but the little carrot cakes that came in cups were really really good. The waffles with strawberry topping were good, too...oh boy, I'm already having cravings and withdrawals. :rotfl:

If you guys go to DTD, you should stop at Goofy's Candy Co. as well -- my mom and I each got the big Mickey head rice crispy treat, and they're rather large after being dipped and covered. It took me three tries to eat all of that bad larry, and it took my mom a little longer.

I really need to stop...I'm making myself crazy. :rotfl2:

I think that we are keeping Chef Mickeys and we are going to add one new on, Big River Grille (or something like that) that is at the Boardwalk....Patrick likes trying different kinds of beer and apparently they have a lot...plus I want to try the Cheddar Beer Soup :lmao: But other then that I think we are canceling the rest or I might try to find a nice Dis'er that wants them

We are also going to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour (or at least thats what we talked about, we don't have reservations for it yet) hmmm...now I need to call Ann

We also have talked about maybe doing a walk up at T-Rex but we will decide that when we get there.

I'm so excited to see that you started your report! I can't wait until we get back so that I can really work on mine (though I'll be sad to be back in NY :sad2: )

I really want to go to Goofy's for the choc. covered pretzels.....

So we finally made the hard decision! Later today I will be calling to cancel all of our ADR's except for Chef Mickey's. We are going to try to go to Big River Grille while we are down there, but we are not going to make an ADR, we are just going to wait and see what happens.

We also finally scheduled our TOUR! We will be doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour on Sunday March 8 at 8:30am. We scheduled the earliest tour with the hopes of getting some pics of an empty Main St. We now realize that that is the morning of the Princess Half Marathon, but we will see.

On a side note, the next two weeks are going to be unbelievably crazy for me...

On Friday we leave for NYC for the weekend, we get back at 11pm Sunday night and then we have classes all week before leaving for Disney on Friday :dance3:
So I have a lot to get done!

Thanks for Reading!

You're almost in the single digits!! It is going to fly by, especially since you are going to be so busy.

I'm so excited that you got the KTTK tour. I know that when I read a TR in which someone did that tour and there were some things that they weren't allowed to talk about afterwards, but I guess that means that we will just have to do one at some point.

I hope that you guys get to go to Big River Grille. I'm not a beer person, so I wouldn't sample the different beers, but that cheddar beer soup sounds good.

I'm bummed that we never got to see the T-Rex restaurant. I did someone walking by with a box from the Build-A-Dino (which I kinda wanted to do) -- it was so cute!! It had holes for the dino's head and tail. But, we only had a few things on our DTD "to-do" list, and Earl of Sandwich was at the top of it, so it's okay that we didn't get to go to the T-Rex restaurant.

I'm so excited for you!! I can't wait for you to go so that I can tell myself that you're in Disney, and try to guess where you are. :rotfl2:

Earl of Sandwich is on our list too! And I was doing the same thing all last week...I would be walking to class going "hmmmm Meg must be getting on a bus to go somewhere fun in the World today...." and then I would switch over to "hmmm three weeks from today I'll be waiting for a bus!"

We must be following each other all over the boards....every time I refresh the window to see which topic I need to go read the update on, its right after you have just been there :rotfl:

I'm on my way out for the day, but I will probably add some NYC details later tonight. Have a good Sunday!

Yup I definitely feel like I'm stalking you around the boards. :lmao: I even just finished responding to your post in my thread.

Earl of Sandwich was SO good. I got the Hawaiian BBQ sandwich and my mom got a veggie sandwich. It's definitely on my must-do list for the next trip. I'd like to think that I'd "think outside the box" and try something new, but I'd probably go with what I got before.

That will be me in a week and a half -- I'll be in class, or at work, and thinking that you will be on a bus or at one of the parks or somewhere fun. Especially on the 8th!

You have a good Sunday too! I'm going out shortly as well -- Kailyn is getting a laptop, and I'm not working AND I need cleaner for my laptop. I can't wait to hear NYC details!!

Yay page 2!!

I feel like I've been on here all day. I was trying hard to put off my homework for tomorrow night, but then I HAD to finish it because my brother got paid AND got his tax refund back, so he's decided to treat himself to a digital camera. He wants me to go with him tomorrow to get it because he said that he doesn't know anything about them. He seems to think that I do. Luckily he wants Charles to come too, who I am sure is more knowledgeable than I am.

What are you guys doing in NYC? I'm dying to go back there. I went there twice -- once for the day right after my 20th birthday, and a couple of years ago to see "Wicked." I need to go back sometime and do a proper visit.

May I recommend the Sony Cybershot H10? Patrick and I each got one for xmas and we love them.

We are going for our annual Art Club trip! So far all we have planned is to go to MoMA, the Met, the Guggenheim, and possibly to see The Little Mermaid on Broadway (or at least thats what I'm planning, Patrick isn't so keen on the idea, but he'll go because I want to). Other then that, we are just going to take the weekend as it comes....good times with good friends :goodvibes

I've been putting off cleaning my room by being on the DIS, so I know how you feel....lol

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll have to keep an eye out for that when we go. I'm not sure what Michael is looking for in a camera, he just asked me if I would go with him. I guess that means he will be open to anything.

That sounds like a lot of fun. I'd love to visit MoMA. We have an art museum in Boston but for some reason I never think to go there. That happens with a lot of things around here -- I always think that I'd like to go there, but I always forget about it. I swear that once the weather starts getting nicer, I am going to get out and about in Boston. Will you take lots of pictures and share them??

Oooh, and Little Mermaid on Broadway sounds awesome. I hope you get to it!
