From Disney: We’re always looking for ways to help Guests celebrate their special milestones, and we know our Guests like to celebrate their high school graduation at Walt Disney World Resort. With this in mind, we are reimagining a rite-of-passage event and introducing a new way for high school seniors to celebrate their achievements with friends and classmates.
Beginning with the class of 2017, Disney Grad Nite H2O will debut at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on select Friday nights in April. Themed as a beach party, this special ticketed event will feature Disney characters, food and beverage, music, DJ entertainment and dance parties, along with the water park’s fun attractions.
We are reaching out to Florida high schools and select travel planners before summer break to make sure they are aware of this new springtime event. Interested schools may register at Disneygradnite.com to reserve space, and then seniors may purchase tickets through their high schools.
How will this be different? What will this event include? In the past, we hosted Disney Grad Nite in a theme park. In 2017, we will host Disney Grad Nite H2O at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and it will be themed around a beach party on several select nights in April. Given the size and layout of this new venue, we expect high school seniors will be able to spend more time with their friends and classmates as they celebrate their momentous milestone.
How much will it cost? The special ticketed event will be offered for $55 plus tax.
How does this cost compare to Grad Nite when it was in the theme park? This ticket price is comparable to prior years but it also includes extras such as food and beverage and a commemorative mug.
Like Grad Nites in the theme parks, will there be a dress code for this event? Yes. We will have a dress code that will be appropriate for this kind of special event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. We will have more details on dress code guidelines once schools are reserved.
How will high school seniors be able to book this event? The event is offered to school groups only. Individual graduating seniors must purchase tickets through their confirmed, participating school.
