Grad Nights

Maybe a dumb question, but does DL still have Grad Nights?

Yes, and it's over sometime in June, about the middle of the month. Not exactly 100% sure of the date.

They do seem later than WDW's, for sure.

These dates for DL are a lot later than WDW. I graduated in 2007 and went to Grad Nite in April. The last dates available for it were around the end of April/first week of May. Maybe California school dates are different than here in Florida (?)

Yeah, I think CA schools end in June maybe? When I graduated - long ago! - in MD, we graduated on June 6th, but I think the schools in my area graduate before that now.

Which reminds me...When I graduated and went to Disney grad night..years ago..we all wore the type of clothes most people wear to Disney..and..traveled by bus (I am from Bakersfield) but last year...I was there during a Grad night..and..some were coming by limo..and..were dressed up..which looked so much more fun..lol

I'm going to be at DLR for a quick 2-day trip June 9-10. Does anyone know what happens specifically, are both parks closed early for the grads? Do they close normally and stay open later for the grads? Thanks for the info.

Last year..it closed for us at 9..and we watched the grads arriving as we were leaving...I don't know if both parks are open for the grads..but..it closed at 7 for us...

Does DTD close early? The 11th will be our first night there and we will grab dinner and do some shopping that evening. Just wondering how it will be effected(if it will be) with Grad night????

It was still open...We shopped for awhile..then hit the AMC theater..to see Kung Fu Panda....

I went to school in CA, and although DLR Grad Nights weren't available to us for some reason, our actual graduation was in June. We started in Sept and went until either late May or early June...so it makes sense to have Grad Nights going into June.



I believe it's only in Disneyland itself...I remember reading something about the grads starting out in DCA (which is already closed) then moved over to DL once DL is closed and ready? That might be old info though.

I was just checking on our trip, and the Thursday is a grad night...DL is open until 9 instead of 10 (or midnight), and no fireworks are scheduled (though they are scheduled M-W then Friday of our trip). So that's how that night is changed, compared to the other nights. For May 28 at least.

When we went last year during Grad Night..they still had fireworks..I guess they stopped this year...

On June 4th, when we will be there, DCA closes two hours early at 6 p.m. It is open until 8 p.m. every other night that week. There is no parade at DCA that night (nor is there the night before which must be an operational cutback). DL closes at 9 p.m.

We went the same week last year and it was similar because fireworks only happened on the weekends. DTD didn't have shortened hours.

June 4th was a week earlier than we went last year..so..that probably explains why we had fireworks..and..watched from the Fairfield pool..every night..lol
