Hi,

Just booked CSR and OKW in April....

I checkin to CSR on 4-17 for 3 nights....fri and sat of those nights is
GRAD night....Since this is a convention resort...Is this where they
will all be.....as well as all stars.

Do I have to change to a deluxe to get away from screaming teens:confused3
Thanks
kerri

Most of the kids for grad night will not be staying on property. They usually come in for the party that night and leave in the morning. Since they use charter busses for the most part, they just sleep on them.

Oh thanks so much....
Makes me feel a whole lot better:goodvibes

We were there at WDW in April 2005 during Grad nights. We stayed at POP. No issues at resort or at the parks. Was not affected at all by the events/teen crowds of Grad nights. No worries:thumbsup2

Don't worry as PP's mentioned you may not even see a "grad". Most attendees are at HS's in driving distance and although a few schools do stay over most stay off property due to $$.

The grad night events are at MK after hours and there are a few "pre-party" events to keep the grads together and busy prior to the event. My sil has chaperoned her HS for the past 6 years or so and they don't stay over. Her school usually arrives about 5pm and attends a pre-grad night party at PI. One or two of the clubs is reserved for the kids prior to regular opening time for dinner and parties. Then they are off to the MK and then the bus ride home.

Other than the MK closing early you probably won't even know there are grad nights.

My one thought on this is that when we were there a few years ago during a grad night, the MK closed early, so did the AK park, MGM and the water parks. All were closed by 7. The only places that were opened were Epcot and DD. Both those places were PACKED. So although had no noise or real awareness of the grad night activities, all we wanted to do was to get back to the resort to have a little breathing room.

thanks everyone:goodvibes

I feel confident to keep my ressie at CSR.....unless a good
AP rate comes out for the poly:rolleyes1

I've had at least one trip when Grad nights were going on. I agree with above posters that these kids are not staying on property and their park time is exclusive to them.

The only negative thing I can remember was trying to get to dinner at the Contemporary (by car) and the roads in the MK area were jammed with charter bus traffic.
