We are possibly planning an early May trip, and I see that Grad Night is happenning on 2 of the night that we'll be there. I remember my own GN... it was my 18th bday... but don't know what that means to day visitors. How early do the parks close? We'll be going for the Minnie Marathon weekend.

Any advice? Is it worth it?

::MickeyMo Our grad night was in March a few years back. I'm not sure how early the park closes, but it was early enough to make some people complain. A friend of mine stayed in the Wilderness Lodge during a grad night and said they could hear the music coming from MK the whole night! It was crazy. I've also heard that buses were a pain to get with all the extra students and such there. We go early May, about the middle of the second week, for 11 days and haven't experienced a grad night. Maybe postpone a few days just to be sure? ::MinnieMo

We were there in late April this year w/ grad nights. Yes, MK closes at like 6pm on the weekend for this event. No wishes or Spectro parade. The impact is that THURSDAY at MK is a ZOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other thing we noticed (staying at ASMO) was that kids starting arriving on Thursday and the pools were REALLY crowded through the weekend. But they weren't loud around the hotel...just a mass of them in the pool. And touring the parks, just be sure to work in a day at MK not on Thursday. IF you don't mind not seeing Spectro or Wishes, my guess is FRI would be a great day to do MK!!!
