so let’s say I have an ADR at noon and for whatever reason (fp/ride/line ran long) and we show up late. Do they still accommodate you? And for how long if so? At what point do they charge the no show fee?
There’s no official policy. They can refuse to seat you if you’re late at all, and charge the no show fee immediately. Most people have been accommodated as long as they arrive within 15 minutes after the reservation time.
We were super late a couple weeks ago-probably 25-30 minutes. They still honored our reservation time although YMMV since it was at Coral Reef and lunch ADRs aren’t such a hot commodity. Just an FYI- we were charged initially for the no-show fee, but the charge was immediately refunded when we checked in.
We showed up REALLY REALLY late (like an hour) for a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe last year due to my stupid stupid stupid GPS.
When we got there, I was beside myself thinking we would not be accommodated, and they couldn't have been nicer. They even offered us 2 free fast passes per person to make up for our grief. I felt bad take ng them since it was my own fault so I declined them. They seated us within 15 minutes.
Great Disney service.
I'm sure if it had been BOG the outcome would have been different.
Yes, I am sure the popularity of the restaurant, how booked up they are, and the amount of walk ups might play a part in whether you are accommodated or charged the no show fee after a short grace period.
There is no official grace period. It is up to the restaurant at that time. I've overheard them seating people who were late, I have overhead them being turned away.
Best thing is to make sure your ADRs don't conflict with anything else you want to do or see. For example don't book an ADR at the Castle for 8 pm and get on Pirates at 7:50.
