At SFO waiting for my flight home

Do and don't want to go home. I do for sure....just so long DBF is with me...but still do....mostly I guess...because I love Sydney
But even if I could have hung around in the UK a bit longer I don't want be around for the Olympics and DBF will be working it night and day so that's the other thing of...well...

Ugh...

Hate the torn emotions...

I'm still back on page 110ish I think...
So not caught up yet
Hope everyone is well...

Safe travel for the rest of your journey. I thought you were home tomorrow; so I wasn't expecting you to post until then.

Sounds like you had good times with DBF. Looking forward to more updates on your TR.

I do get home tomorrow. Depending when you determine tomorrow is :lmao:

It has been a long Friday so far...then I get maybe a couple hours of Saturday. Then bam it's Sunday!

It's another 6 hour layover here. I've been pottering around then decided to forgo the united club as I couldn't pre buy with a discount so that was $50 with included alcohol but only a small amount of food.
Like with so many things though......after this flight my status changes to include access to clubs as well as 3 free checked 32kg bags (although I'm not sure DBF could handle that :lmao: )
It's pretty quiet out tonight so apart from annoying announcements about the Air NZ flight where if you have a boarding pass issued by another airline you have to 'check-in' again it's ok out here.
Less than an hour until boarding hopefully.

TR won't have as much in terms of destinations. Not everywhere is really noteworthy and between the 5-6hr return trips for each of Harry potter and highclere castle we needed some down days of pottering and attempting to catch up on sleep.

What I never did get used to was being in the UK and the sun still being up at 7:30pm
Dinner was always late or at least I would be shocked realizing the time in the evening or arvo because sun down was a usually at 5-6ish. When I'm in the UK.
I've never been to the northern hemisphere outside winter with exception only to a September west coast USA and October mid west USA trip.

Wow! You're actually reading back and catching up! I'm not sure I'd do that with all the idle chatter that goes on here! :rotfl:

I guess your stay was an enjoyable one as you rarely checked in. Not much chnaged here other than not taking our trip.

But the good news is that Fran is healing, so we should be happy with that.

Hope you have a safe trip home! :thumbsup2

Queenie really? You must be bored if you want to read through 25 minutes of this smut. And realized that there is a 15-20 minute twilight zone at about 10:15 local time.

That's insane, I was reading all about how many relatives you have and it's so unbelieveable coming from where Fran and I are, that we are practically all alone save for my parents and my sister and her family who are practically non existent. We have some relatives on the east coast, but not really anyone.

You are lucky.

Xander and I feel very lucky. DH does not. He wants to move to a city where we have no family. That way, we would not have to attend so many family functions. I love seeing all of our family, including his. I love my family and my in-laws. I have one sister that lives in Arizona and one that lives in Florida. DH has one step-brother that lives in California. The rest all live here minus my Mom who is not in the picture. We do have distant family members who live in different places. On Christmas and Thanksgiving, we are at our house in the morning. At lunch time, we head to his Mom's. We usually spend the late afternoon with my Dad and the evening with his Dad. They all live in different parts of town too, so we spend the day driving all over the city. I love it, so does Xander!!! Sorry Fran does not have much family. I am glad you have your parents and sister. I can loan you some of my family. They are pretty great.

Have a safe trip. Feels like you've been gone a long time but then again it seems like you are rarely home. How nice to travel the world!!!

That is why I am absent for so long at times. It takes so long to catch up, and it is not fun being out of the loop. I cannot read more than a few pages back, because one of my boys needs me before I can get back any more than that. Then, the conversation has progressed so much that I get behind again.

Oooh...yes. I forget you only travel in winter lately. You should try being in Scandanavia during summer/autumn.

Smut??? Our conversation is smut????? :snooty:

:scratchin....actually.....nevermind.....carry on......smut it is.

I didn't even bother trying to tell Queenie what to do...you know how she can be. :rotfl2:

Kimberly - Just jump on right in. Why bother even catching up? My rule on this thread is that if it has moved more than 5 pages, don't bother.
If it is importantly enough, you'll catch up on the news sooner or later. We're a bit like a daytime soap opera in that regard......what was that word Matt used again????

Just caught up on some sleep.

DS decided he wanted to sleep in the big bed last night; so DH went to sleep in DS' bed.

DS kicked, talked in his sleep and stole the doona away from me. I didn't get any sleep from 4 am onwards.
We're supposed to be going on for dinner tonight. I need to be awake for that.

Family bearable until the game ends.

I never let DS in my bed. Unless to nap when he is very sick.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with sleep problems. We sat down to dinner last night at 9PM. I got to bed around 2AM and was up by 8. We need some sleep tonight. So going to bed!

I got reservations for Minnie and Friends Breakfast and Cathray Circle. They were not able to book Wine Country Trattpria, because my party size is too large. I called and put it a request for it. They will get back to me in 2-3 days. The cast member suggested I drop the request from 36 to 35 people.

You've got our family trip beat, my largest DL trip was with 25 of us in 2005. I understand how you feel about your large family as my mom was from a family of 8 kids so I have many aunts, uncles, and cousins and can't imagine life any other way.

I have my niece and nephew this weekend and it's finally all quiet.:goodvibes

I don't let DS in MY bed.....he goes and swaps with DH. Sadly, I've worked really hard in my relationship with DH to never try to tell DH what NOT to do. :headache:

(But DS has been having nightmares lately; so it was a bit of circuit breaker for us)

About monsters? Or parents who take him away from DL?

Is there a difference??? :confused3

:rotfl2:

Seriously? He's having nightmares about monsters and horrible death at the moment. He's been learning about the world wars at school as well as the world enviroment and oil/pollution/scarcity. The latter scares him silly!

:rotfl: I know. OCD. I like to know what the convo is about.

Just caught up on some sleep.

Xander kicks us when he climbs into our bed. I make him sleep in his big boy bed, but my husband always lets him in ours. They do not switch either. It is fun to nurse a 10 month old multiple times throughout the night with four people in one bed.:furious:

Our largest Disneyland trip in 2004 was 29, I think. We went to Magic Mountain in August 2010 with 36. I have a picture.

My sister is blocked by one of the kids and her girlfriend on the top left of the pic, but she made 36 when I counted. I am on the top right with Xander and DH. Just trade out some of my sister's family with some of my husband's family, and we will be 36 again this trip.

My Mom has 11 brothers and sisters, so I have more family than I can think of. She left when I was seven though, so I do not know any of those family members. My husband has five Aunts who all live in town with their kids. We see those cousins often. I rarely see cousins on my Dad's side of the family but am Facebook friends with a lot of them. I LOVE our big families.

My neices are coming over on 05-27-12. The six year old informed me that she has marked her calendar. Have fun with yours.

I cannot tell DH what to do either. If I could, I would tell him to stop letting Xander sleep in our bed.
