GP Deal vs. FL Res/AP Rates?

We're looking to take a quick weekend trip before school starts in late August. The general public deal right now is $79 a night (ASMu). I suspect that AP and FL Residents rates will come out pretty soon - should I wait?

Does anyone have any idea what the AP/Res rates usually run during value season?

There's no reason to wait once you make the decision to go. Lock in some kind of discount now. When the AP and FL rates come out, if they're better then you can have the new rate applied to your reservation. If you wait and there isn't availability at your room category/resort of choice then you may end up without any discount at all because the GP rate could sell out.
