I signed up for the GottaPlay.com offer. QR was, of course, super quick to apply credit, and I cancelled very shortly afterward. I received a cancellation reply from GottaPlay, and my credit card was charged the $13.95, as I'm sure eveyone else's was.

My question is: How long before they initiate the credit back to my card? Have any of you already received a credit for the $13.95?

Hi Diane! There are a few of us here wondering the same thing! My card was charged (after being pending) on 3/1 - the same day I canceled. The charge is still there this morning.

I hope someone has had the charge reversed. It would certainly make a lot of people feel better!

You know, I did this one and an education brochure one yesterday through QR and have not received credit for either. I know that they are usually super qucik in crediting. I'd like to get my credit so I can cancel.

And, hopefully, Gottaplay will credit our accounts as quickly as the Bob Greene diet.

I canceled on the 1st as well and am still waiting on my refund. Hopefully it will be refunded soon.

I'm in the same boat as all of you.

I called and cannot seem to get through to a real person. Just a leave your message and we'll call you back recording!

I hope it comes soon!

Lori - did you ever get a email response?

Connie

Me too. I was charged the $13.95 after I cancelled.

Just tried calling, but had to leave a message (everyone was busy apparently).

Someone just called me back from Gottaplay. She said it usually takes 3-5 business days to post (a refund). I explained to her that I was charged after I cancelled, but that didn't seem to matter.

She took my email address & said she would forward it to billing to have them look into it.

I'll be checking this thread to see if anyone gets their $13.95 back.

Well at least you got a phone call! Thanks for posting. I haven't heard anything yet and no credit back on the cc yet!

I can't check my cc activity right now. Disney Shopping did it to me again. The order I placed a day or two ago resulted in Chase calling me and putting my account on hold for a few hours. I really thought they'd close my account and reissue another CC (like they did to you, LorieR), but they didn't. Anyway, the hold resulted in me not being able to check activity online for 3-5 days. Bummer! :(

No refund for me either. Hopefully by the end of the week.

I sent another e-mail to them last night. Just got this reply:

"Dear Lorie,

We are writing in regards to your recent billing dispute.

After reviewing your account, our records indicate that a refund in the amount of $13.95 was issued to the credit card on file on the following date:

Authorization Amount: USD (13.95)
Submit Date /Time: 01-Mar-2007 23:31:16
...
It may take 3-5 business days for your financial institution to post this credit to your account. Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences this may have caused you.

If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

Sincerely,
GottaPlay Billing Department"

I will wait until tomorrow, I guess, to call my cc company and see what the story is...

Anyone else get any kind of response or credit yet?

Bumping this up to see how anyone else has done in terms of getting their credit. I will call my cc a bit later to see what the story is. The charge is still there this morning

Nothing this morning. Today is the 5th business day for me (after they billed me). I emailed them again using the form on their website.

Update - just got off the phone with cc company. Originally when I called last week the $13.95 was pending on 2/28. It was then charged to the account on 3/1.

Gottaplay, in their reply to my e-mail (see above), says they put in a credit on 3/1. My cc company still shows $13.95 as pending from 2.28, $13.95 charged on 3/1, and no credit or pending credit in the system.

Tanya at my cc company says today is considered the fifth business day. She said it sounded like the company was trying to work with me with their e-mail, so I guess I will give Gottaplay another day or two to get their act together since they said it could take 3-5 business days.

I was hesitant to do any more sign-ups but did freebidding this morning :scared1: I hope this goes smoothly! :)

This makes me nervous. I'm wondering if maybe gottaplay put in for a CHARGE instead of a CREDIT on all of our accounts. If they put in for a credit on 3/1, the credit card company should have a record of it, no? I just sent off an email also. I used a virtual visa so I'm not sure how cooperative they will be on a matter like this. I hope it doesn't have to go that far. I would think that if gottaplay has issued credits that somebody from this board would have received the credit back by now.

Nothing for me either. :sad1: I sent an email and the said the same 5 day thing to me.
