Gotta love the Disney weather forecast

92 degrees and 50% chance of rain the next 10 days. Oh man, guess we should cancel the vacation now. lol

To late for me, already at the airport waiting for my plane to take off. I guess I will just have to risk enjoying Disney with 92 degree temp and possible rain here and there.

It is! I never think to look at the weather unless I see lightning coming and I'm at a park and don't want to get in a Florida rain on the way to my car. Its always the same. Hot mid or low 90s, puffy clouds, could rain or not depending on where you are standing. Perfect mornings and evenings and we chill or work inside during the hot afternoon. (Memorial Day we went to a water park, only time we were out in the heat but we did ok and we reapplying sunscreen.)

I love it when it rains because the people that don't know any better leave to do indoor things. Shortens the lines just a tad.

A warm day at Disney for 8 days/7 nights is much better then being in the office for that same period of time.

We go every summer and I don't get worried unless it is 60% or above. Anything less is just normal Florida weather.

Yeah I'm really not looking forward to this trapped jet pattern that has given these early high temps! I can't wait to see what the temps are in 4 more weeks. We're having temps of around 90 with around 80-90% humidity here (in Canada!) the past few days and DH has been grumbling about how hot it is. I just told him it's preparation for our trip. I'm seriously wondering why I thought visiting over Christmas would have been such a bad idea, lol. suddenly I think I would have rather tackled the insane crowds than an over-heated cranky husband, lol.

When we went 2 weeks ago it was 80% most of the days we were there. The only hard rain we had was waiting for the Star Wars motorcade. We dried off quickly

Look on the bright side: At least summers are predictable... On our winter trips we've had swings of 50 degrees in a week's time (seriously, lows in the 30s and highs in the 80s in one trip!), and the weather forecast wasn't accurate until about 48 hours out which left us rather blindsided because we hadn't packed for near-record lows! The summer forecast, on the other hand, has very little variation; you'd pack the same for 85 degrees as for 95, and you can assume the sub-tropical chance of rain every day knowing that it very rarely lasts more than a short time.

Coming from a place where rain usually means you will get hypothermia if you don't get inside and have a hot drink ASAP, I used to absolutely love Florida rain. It was like a nice shower washing the stickiness off. My mother on the other hand seems to have inherited the water-weakness gene from the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz lol, she hates all kinds of rain.

It actually rained when we went to Malta (Just north of the Sahara!) in the middle of summer when they get usually about less than 1/2" of it over June-July. The cab driver on the way back to the airport couldn't believe it, we said it probably followed us all the way from the UK

Poncho on, sandals squeaking wet, glasses coated in raindrops, odd looks from people huddling under shelter... ah, memories.

We leave in 8 days and I was just looking at the forecast too. Rain most days and one day is heavy rain with over an inch possible. Sure hope we miss some of that!

I was just looking at weather.com for our trip days...how accurate do you guys feel the forecasts are for the upcoming 5-10 days?? Its showing 80% chance of rain for June 6th and 60% for June 4-5. 80% chance of rain where I live means its going to pour all day long.

80% chance of rain means 80% of the forecast area can expect to get some rain during the forecast period. Hour by hour percentage is more helpful, so you can get a much better sense a day or two out.

Lol This wasnt my first choice of when to go. I prefer october but my son really wanted to go for my granddaughters 3rd birthday so I am doing something I said I would never do again

We leave in 10 days and weather.com has our whole trip at 80%. Am I right in thinking that this is still to far out to predict and all of that can change? Also, thinking that doesn't mean a washout of all day rain. Trying to stay positive here.

The hourly forecast is your friend once there. I use it on every trip we take where activities can change due to weather. We were on a trip once to Virginia. We drove to the zoo in the pouring rain, toured the zoo with no rain and were heading out when it was starting again. Also used it to get some pool time in during our 2012 trip with Tropical Storm Debbie.

Exactly! After too many trips going from hot to cold and colder, I'm completely sold on the heat. I'll be there this time next week and am completely content that its going to hot, there will be storms, humidity, and it will be glorious as we're at Walt Disney World. Love that bone melting warmth.

Exactly this! In the summer time, the chance of rain may as well be 80-90% every single day. It's only by looking at the hourly forecast that you'll see the rain is usually from 3-5PM and the rest of the day is fine.

Sounds about like the forecast every year we've gone in late Sept. Our first year, before leaving home, I was really bummed by the forecast, with 50%+ chance of rain everyday. We only got rain one evening, and the rest was beautiful.
