Gotta love bounceback! 10th ann. & family vaca PTR-9/201o-WE'RE BACK!

You'll have to post what you find Stefy. :goodvibes

I have been quite busy lately! Time to dive in full speed ahead with my planning. I replied to your PM. I wonder if it never sent? Stupid computer. :headache: Let me look in my sent items. I will send again.

Got it! :) I think we have lots of options, and I'm getting very excited to meet you and Joe!!

I've been giving a lot of thought to what I want to get Joe for our 10th wedding anniversary. I'm thinking that I have finally decided on a new watch for his collection. He has a lot of them and is a collector. Usually when we go to DTD he spends most of his time in the jewelry section of the WoD checking out watches. I figure I'll get an idea of what he likes and then ask my mom to go and get one for me while I keep him occupied somewhere else in the store.

It's difficult to decide on what to get for him but I think that he will like the watch.

Anyone have any other ideas for me?

Any way to have the watch engraved?? That might make it extra special...

I've always wanted to do that but I don't know if they do that at DTD or on property. He loves Disney watches and has quite the collection but it would be awesome if I could manage to get it engraved. I'm going to call down there to see if I can plan ahead. Great idea! :thumbsup2

It is very hot and muggy here today so we're staying indoors. I think it is around 92 or so and yukky as yukky could be.

I decided that it would be a great day to start to gather my packing list odds and ends. Mostly stuff that I just don't want to forget. I've made an updated packing list as well.

I went to Target the other day and gathered a few little odds and ends:

First, I wanted to have a tiny notebook to jot things down that I didn't want to forget about. I don't want to carry something big around the parks with me so I thought that this would work:

I don't know about you guys, but I wished more than once that I had some of these with me. Sometimes I just have one or two things that I want to wash and I don't want to do an entire load of laundry. I think that these will come in handy:

MiscPacking025.jpg

Speaking of laundry, I can't remember if I posted these a while back when I found them, but I am anxious to try them out. Anyone ever used them?

I also go these because we seem to go through them on vacation like mad. I have no clue why, but we do. I think it's rather funny, the amount that we go through. It sorta makes no sense. :confused3

Next up is what I think is the best smelling hand sanitizer out there. It doesn't leave your hands with that funky sticky feeling or whatever the heck that feeling is. It's Target's house brand. I love it....and look, I got a little travel thingy too.

This next item may seem like an odd one but man, do these things come in handy. There never seems to be enough hooks in the rooms. Sometimes I want to hang up my backpack (when empty of course), or maybe a lanyard, etc. I also use these to hang stuff on the outside of my door, like my little Mickey Heads for people to sign. They don't leave any marks and are easy to remove.

I have an entire bag filled with my do dads and such and am going through and organizing it now. My brother refers to this as my "McGyver bag." :rolleyes1

I'm still trying to diet like mad for Disney. I found this yummy tart recipe from Weight Watchers. I made this one the other day.

MiscPacking011.jpg

Speaking of dieting, I am a tad bit stressed about snacks while we're at Disney. There are so many yummy things that I want to eat and I fear that I will gain 10 pounds while we're on vacation.

Anyone have any ideas for healthier snacks at Disney? Man, if they would only make a low calorie zebra dome............... :lmao:

I followed you over from my PTR....I'm going back to read now! I can't wait to see what your plans our considering we'll be overlapping maybe I'll get some great ideas from you:cool1:

Sophia, you have been a busy, busy gal. It was hot and humid here today too. Usually it doesn't bother me, but it was unbearable today. I'm glad you reminded me...I have to do my envelopes. We got the DVD's too...we're going to watch them while Mark recuperates from his surgery.

I think the watch idea is perfect and if you can get it engraved that would be even better :goodvibes

Great Target buys, I love how the hand santiser has a jacket thingy, so cool :thumbsup2

That tart looks yummy. Weight Watchers does look like a enjoyable diet as it looks like you don't have to give up everything and everything. Snack wise I am not really sure what to suggest apart from fruit, the rice krispie treats might not be too bad as they are made from rice :)

OK, since funnel cakes are out... here are some ideas:

Choco-covered strawberries

I don't think Dole Whips will put you over

veggies and dip- easy on the dip

Minnie's strawberry bar- my hands down fave snack in the World

Frozen banana at MK

That tart was absolutely LOVELY!! Nice job!!:thumbsup2

Hi, and :welcome: I'm glad to have you with us!

I really enjoyed the DVD's. That's a great idea to watch them while Mark recoups. I always like to get my envelopes out of the way. For some reason, I feel better once they are done. :thumbsup2

I am hoping that I will be able to find somewhere to engrave the watch. I'm wondering if I get it at DTD (we get an AP discount there) and take it to the watch shop on Main Street in the MK, if they will engrave it for me.

WW is a really easy diet to follow because you can eat "regular" food. All in moderation though and I am struggling with the darn snacks!!!

Ooh, I've never had Minnie's strawberry bar. I will have to try that. Thanks for some great ideas! :thumbsup2

Oooh a Minnie Strawberry bar sounds yummy, what is it like?

I would post on the theme park board and see if others have done the same thing or have an idea :)

Hiya,

I can't wait to try one...never had one before.

Good idea on the theme park board.

I just found out that Flame Tree BBQ is closed when I am going to be there. I am not happy about that. It is my fav CS!!

Btw, we both have the exact same number of posts....except now since I am posting this one. How funny is that?

Did you get my last PM? I am having issues so I wanted to be sure that you got it.

Hiya, I got your PM and just replied :)

You must let me know what the Minnie bar is like and where you got it from so we can try one too :teeth:

Yikes about FT BBQ, I love eating there too. As an alternative, why don't you try Yak and Yeti CS?

Think we might be neck and neck again with the post count

I know! I haven't had much online time at all! I'm up-front today covering reception (we have a ton of people out), so I'm playing around on the internet all day if you have some free time! (I always keep my GMail open; you need to make an account!)

Hrm? Healthy snacks? I know the popcorn is really, really buttered, but it's a lot less carb count than something like a pretzel (if you're watching carbs.)

I normally try to order salads as my sides to a meal (or, fruit).

And, stay away from anything other than water. The drinks there are all loaded with sugar; you'll save a ton of calories in just that way! I normally carry those Crystal Lite single-use packages and add them to my water for something different.

Still planning on attending. I heard that this year they are saying that people won't be able to enter MK until 7. They use to let you in at 4 but I was talking to a CM on the phone figuring out an ADR and she said that this year will be different. :confused3 I'm hoping we can meet there if that still works for you.

:confused3 I have not heard that. I have not checked on the thread recently for MNSSHP either. I will have to call to find out and see what they tell me.

I want the DVD set you mentioned!! I am trying to be good :rolleyes1 :woohoo: for getting so many things done! Great finds at Target! I just love going there. :thumsbup2

Weight: You will be walking so much, I bet you should be able to indulge in a snack or two while down at Disney!

I had not heard about Flame Tree being closed, I guess that knocks it off our list for our AK day.
