Hi All -
I just returned from 5 nights at the Wilderness Lodge! We had a great time. The resort is awesome! I really liked it, although I won't be rushing back to stay there again. We will probably try another resort next time.

I had a woods view room booked with an AP rate of $139 per night. When I checked-in I asked the front desk Cast Member about a Concierge upgrade. At first, she said $80 per night extra, but then she said "Wait!" She called up to Concierge and spoke with Jack. She hung up and said, how about $40 per night instead. My eyes got big and I said "Yes, Yes, Yes" before she could change her mind.

Concierge was great! Turn down service every night, free refrigerator in the room, the lounge food and the concierge service all made the added $40 per night worth it. The food was delicious. Each night between 5 and 7 they had offerings of ribs, chicken, stew, etc. Oh! One other thing, Jack is a great Concierge staff member! He was really nice to us.

If you have any questions, please ask!

I'm hoping for a good upgrade price too. This will be my mom and brother's first stay at a deluxe (WL) and I thought this would be a nice add on too if affordable. We really don't need the food and drinks since we are on the gold plan and will buy mugs too but just the whole expericence would be worth it I think.

i will be checking in this thursday! do you think I should ask? I'm kinda shy about asking for extra stuff..... so do i just say.... "how much would a concierge upgrade be?" really.... help.... i would love it..... its a special trip for me and my children..... i just got great news from a doctor.... perfect timing.... anything that would make this special would be a BONUS for us.....

We love the WL..and we love Concierge...and CONGRATS on your great upgrade. Hubby and I were there for our 15th anniversary and stayed in the Honeymoon Suite.

I have to say, we were extremely dissappointed with the food offerings in Concierge on this trip. We NEVER saw any of the items that you mentioned, and only cobbler and cookies for dessert time rather than the varied desserts that we have seen at other deluxes. I also hate the fact that you cant get bottled water anymore.....I certainly dont expect something for nothing, but in comparison with some of the other deluxe concierges we have experienced, the WL didnt rank too terribly high.

Not to mention that even though we were there for 5 days....not ONE mention by a concierge staff of Happy Anniversary. It is certainly a good thing this was NOT our first stay and have had other wonderful experiences with the WL or we would NOT be returning!!

WL must have been feeling generous lately, or short on woods view rooms. We checked in for our BBY rate and were told "Do I have a deal for you." We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite at the WLV at the same rate. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the king size bed. Too bad we only stayed one night.

tinkerb - that's exactly what you ask. We were lucky enough to upgrade in the same way in February. I think after all was said and done we paid $185 per night. Since my husband ended up having a terrible earache this was a blessing in disguise.

we did the same at the poly for easter, we had a public code $250 plus tax a night GV and when we got there i asked about the conceirge and was told $80 plus tax per night but they only had GV, i passed only because $80 plus tax more for the food, we already had a garden view, if it was $40 more i would have taken it or if it was lagoon view. we stayed conc. before and we love it , but this time it was not worth it for us , we had to many ps and wouldnt have been able to really get our moneys worth. maybe next time::yes::

Wow, that's awesome! Glad you guys had such a great time!:D

As far as the food offerings the WL staff is very strict on the timing. For example, the dinner food offerings of ribs, chicken, and stew are from 5:00 until 7:00. At 6:59 the staff was removing the food and preparing for evening snacks.
