we never have and nvr will do meal plan at us or disney because we like to eat whenever, whereever, and howmuch ever we want
are the choices terribly limited? I would never do the meal deal personally, but for no other reason than no matter what was on the menu I would want something else....do they also restrict which places you can eat? is it only counter service?
when you buy the meal deal, it is for a select park.
there is a price for both parks for the same day at a discount.
there will be 3 select resturaunts only you can use the meal deal at.
during high season in the summer, they add on 2 additional places for a limited time.
it is only at counter service.
it is for a set meal.
you can only chose from select options.
you can eat all you want but have to get back in line to reorder.
if you look at the menus for the sites, that will be the deciding factor if the meal deal is good for you.
it opens at 11:00 and the program closes 30 minutes prior to park closing.
I think people are upset because you are making a blanket statement about customer service at Universal and saying Disney's is better. I can tell you a lot of TM's work at Disney too and I don't believe for a minute they turn into something magical when they step foot on Disney property. I have had more bad service at Disney than at Universal. If all of you people are so into universal, why don't you know about this pass? Do they keep it a secret or something?
As for being jaded, or hating Universal, I am neither, I love Universal, and I go there all the time. You all took something out of my mouth that I did not say. I'm just saying, Disney has better customer service. I have no problem with Universal not having great customer service because I don't expect that there.

The Premier Pass is not a secret but because of the renewal cost, a lot of us don't have them. I'm not giving up my $109.00 renewal rate on my Preferred pass to get the extras on the Premier. My Preferred pass is plastic and has my picture on it but I don't carry it in the paper sleeve. I don't even know if I have it anymore. My pass is four years old now and I carry it in my wallet and have not had any problems getting in the parks. My first pass did break on a corner so I had to get the one I have now...but other than that...no problems at all.
Okay, so the big question is, why didn't they just rip 'em out and store 'em somewhere till needed? I am a Premier Passholder too and we ripped that stuff out and put it away. It's not like we're going to drink 8 bottles each in one visit or haul around HHN vouchers for half the year. Heck, we don't even bother to bring the holder because the pass is hard plastic and plenty durable on its own.The HHN free ticket is a rip out section of the holder, as are the coupons for the free bottles of water.
I doubt seriously I would carry everything around IF I had the Premier pass. Why would I carry around the HHN tickets in August when the event doesn't happen until the end of September? You are asking for trouble carry all that stuff around.I don't believe I am making a blanket statement. I have had better experiences at Disney, period. I'm not saying I haven't had bad experiences at Disney, because I have, but not because they were rude, they were just indifferent, and to me, for Disney, an indifferent CM is not good. Probably the people that have had better experiences at Universal go there more. I go to Disney more, so I have more experiences to brag about, where I do not go to Universal quite as often.
The price of the Premier pass pays for itself many times over, despite a renewal rate you already have. Especially if you go to HHN, or buy express passes. And you get bigger discounts on food and merchandise. I have already paid for the pass with all of the extras it comes with.
And if you had the Premier pass, you would keep up with the sleeve because it has all of your goodies in it.
If this isn't a blanket statement, I don't know what a blanket statement is.I'm just saying, Disney has better customer service. I have no problem with Universal not having great customer service because I don't expect that there.
