Got the ME yellow tags but not the special ones?!

Hey, I was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else. We are going to WDW May 12-19 and got our ME stuff today in the mail which included the tags for our luggage (yellow ones) the booklet telling us what to do, but we did not recieve the special tags that has our name, address, phone, etc. on them. Arent we supposed to recieve those? Has that happened to anyone else?

We booked everything except our flights through disney: hotel, base tickets, ticket upgrades, ddp, and ME and our flights were through orbitz. Is this something we need to call about because I was looking forward to the special tags or do you have to book your flight with disney to get the special tags?

I think the "special" luggage tags are no longer being sent just the ME tags.

The tags that are included for ME are the yellow ones with your name and resort information. Were you thinking of the commemorative ones that are with the package? Perhaps they will come later or you will get them when you check into the resort

When you get all of the coupons and certificates do you recieve those when you check into the hotel b/c the only thing we recieved in the mail was the little booklet telling us what to do at the airport along with the yellow tags?

And yes I was talking about the commemorative luggage tag. My uncles family recieved them before their trip when they went in 2005 and they were very nice so I was looking forward to getting one.

DME information is sent out about 6 weeks prior to check in. Gifts from booking a package I believe are sent out about 30 days prior to check in.

so just hang in there.

I think the non ME luggage tags come in a seprate package then the yellow ME luggage tags do.

yay!! sorry for the confusion but this is our first time using DME and my dad constantly has me on here checking for information and new information, like we are able to check in for our flight at WL when we go home because we have one of the airlines on the list. We would have never known about that w/o being on this site!! Thanks for the info we will stay put and wait for the rest of our goodies to arrive!!!

Commemorative luggage tags were never sent as part of the Magical Express packet.

Commemorative luggage tags (from Disney Travel or from another travel agency promising commemorative tags) may arrive earlier or later than the Magical Express packet.

Out trip starting May 8th: Got ME tags about 10 days ago, and the commemorative tags came last Friday.

Just FYI - the commemorative luggage tags will NOT (or should not) have any information printed on them. That information should be entirely at the discretion of the recipient

For security, it is NEVER a good idea to put your home address on your luggage, especially not on a tag relatively accessible to anyone's eyes. Use a post office box, use a work address, use the address of a friend or relative who will be at home...
