Got the dreaded call!

Just a thought here. I would try asking if they could give you certificates to do the dives on another trip.

A few years back, the wife and I went on a tour and booked the Dolphin in depths for my Stepdaughter at the same time. Before we left we asked if there was anything we needed to do for either tour and were told that everything was taken care of. Of course it wasn't. We needed to sign a waiver for SD since she was under 18. She was given a certificate to make up the tour, which she did on a different trip. They did take her into the Seas pavillion but would not let her in the water.

Since you are here on the boards, I would assume you will be returning at some point to WDW, and since they notified you AFTER your cancellation date, and since the cancellation of dives is under very unusual circumstances. if they would consider this.

You never know unless you ask.

that is an EXCELLENT idea, Dan. I will give them a call tomorrow. Doesn't hurt to ask, eh? We have a trip planned for next October so he would be able to use them.

We have decided to go ahead with the trip. We are really looking forward to other components of the trip and we could use a few days to just hang around disney.

It stinks that you have to pay rack rate at a deluxe to do the Platinum. I can use the other $2k that we'd pay for a 3=day vs 1-day to get to Hawaii next year.

Thanks again, Dan...

And on the Platinum Plan, you can also do a fireworks cruise, eat at Victoria & Alberts, have a spa treatment. Plat is worth the money and IF we feel we get our money's worth, we might do it again...but not for sure.
