Got the Dessert Party! YAY!!!

So I wanted to do something special for my family for our upcoming trip to WDW, especially since it the 1st visit for 2 people, so thought the Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party would be fun. Another BIG bonus is not having to stake out seats 2 hours prior. So for the last 3 weeks, I've been checking with no luck.

Called this morning, and TADAA!!!!! I have reservations!!!!

I'm pretty excited, as this way we can have some great dessert and be able to see the fireworks without having to stake a spot ahead of time.

Of course this is a surprise, but since our dessert party time is the same exact time I have an ADR at Citrico's, need to change the time for dinner.

Cool! I also booked a surprise Dessert Party for our trip. I booked it for the last night of our trip, Nov. 4th. We did it last year but it was during that cold spell at the beginning of December. We liked it, but I am thinking we will enjoy it even more if we are not all worried about staying warm.

I have been trying to get this for the last 3 weeks, but with no luck. Just a fluke in calling Disney Dining, and was able to get it for a Thursday night. Wanted it for either a Sunday night or Saturday night (our last night there), but both days were booked up. I think they only go out a month or two for this, but I could be wrong.

They usually are open more like 60-90 days out. I just booked on Oct 10th for Dec 2nd

I waited well beyond the 180 day mark for my ressie on 1st of oct. It was well worth the wait though. I love desserts and I thought the choice and variety was good.

For those of you still waiting to book a ressie for the dessert party this threads worth a read. They seem to find out when dates open pretty quickly and it saves calling regulary.
