Got ROFR on stripped contract

I'm right there with you, ronw....maybe they DID request a closing date after a "September trip"...but, that seems kind of risky to me (like ressies could be cancelled in the process). Who knows!!! Look at this crazy listing:

August/Beach Club Villa/180 pt contract, $73.50 per point.Buyer pay all closing costs. I will pay Disney Transfer Fee and ROFR FEE. all 2004&2005 Points are gone. 180 points available on August 1,2006, though 180 points can be borrowed into your August 1,2005 use year, as early as October 10,2004.

I still can't figure this one out, either. What's with Oct. 10, and how can you "borrow" 2006 into 2004? I understand borrowing 2006 into 2005 and making ressies 11 months earlier (which is 2004)...but, to say "borrow", and that date would be Sept 1, not Oct 10? Am I missing something, here?

Since I started this thread, let me clarify why most of the 2005 points were gone as well as 2004. The seller wanted to take one last trip sometime in Oct of this year, and since it was a September use year, they were using 2004 points and borrowed 2005 points. I was told that we couldn't close the contract until Oct 10 which would have been fine with me as I didn't need te points just the cheaper contract. Well Disney must have agreed to wait as well and its gone......so sad :(

That must mean Disney will cancel the ressies and close before the October date!

Seriously??? Can they do that if the closing date is written into the contract??

Not if the seller was smart enough to include those terms in the deal. If so, Disney is bound by it the same as the original buyer would be.
