Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

Jackie, you craftin' fool - those tags came out GREAT!! :woohoo: What a darling idea. I scooped up a few of those rhinestone Mickey heads myself - I mean, what could be better - rhinestones and Mickey Mouse in the SAME ITEM??!! :dance3: Sign me up! :)

You are getting SO close to your trip! I am so excited for you guys!

Jackie---

Can I just say that I am SO not surprised that you jazzed up those tags.....and they look DIVINE!!!! LOVE THEM!

Your souvie list has made me want to start my own!!! I will definitely be stealing a few items off of your list now of course! ;)

AND last but not least, WHERE IN THE WORLD HAS TIME GONE!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU LEAVE IN ONLY 12 DAYS!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm doing backflips up here in KY for you.....I AM, HONEST!!! ;) Oh, and of COURSE you can start packing silly girl!!! I think I started a month out last year, remember?!?!?!

Me: Yeah, that ginseng will send a person soarin'.

(Pause while we sipped our coffee).

Me: Hey, guess what? In twelve days, we will be Soarin'. (Laughing at my own wit).

Charles: (Laughing). I just knew you were going to say that.

Okay, that was just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny.

When we got home, Chelsea and I did a little crafty project. When I received our new Celebration-themed luggage tags in the mail, I decided I wanted to add some pizazz to them. I found rhinestone Mickey heads and ribbon at Hobby Lobby.

Chelsea and I love how they turned out!

OMGoodness!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE these. They look like they should be for sale at the new TrenD shop!!!! :) What cuteness!

I also thought I would share my souvenir wish list. I have kept a running list of things I want to make sure to remember to look at and/or buy while we are down there (in 12 days ;)). I am sure I will be buying other things, but I didn't want to forget any of these.

Jackie's Souvenir Wish List
Walt Disney World Cookbook
Address Book
Spoon Rest
Magnet (I get one every year)
Christmas Ornament (We get one of these every year as well)
Where the Magic Lives Official Park CD
Larry Dotson Artwork
Grapefruit Lotion from the Grand Floridian Spa

And my heart's desire for this trip:
Moroccan Tiles
Mickey Ice Cream Bar Tote

And I am leaving myself open to finding more heart's desires at the new Tren-D store in Downtown Disney!

I will just be borrowing this list, if I don't say so myself... Xmas ornament, check. The CD, check. Grapefruit Lotion? YUM.... And yes, the new Tren-D store, I can't wait to look for a heart's desire there, too!!! GREAT shopping list!! :thumbsup2 So excited to hear there will be more frequent CP postings!!! :yay:

Your luggage tags turned out great! What a fun project, and it will make it so much easier to spot your luggage quickly. :thumbsup2

A park music CD is such a great idea...I'm going to have to remember to add that to a souvie list as well. I always miss the music and it would make the drive to work so much more enjoyable!

I love the update. Your calendar looks fantastic, the tags are too cute!
Your shopping list is fun fun fun....

Okay... what do I want off of Jackie's list
I know we will get an ornament or two
Mickey Ice Cream Bar Tote.... although I saw a WDW bag today that I for sure need....

Tell me more about the artwork...

ELEVEN DAYS! I am so excited for you!

I can't believe how close you are! I thought I posted this last night, but i guess it never went through. Here is a picture I took just for chelsea!

Love the luggage tags, what a great idea. I may have to borrow it!

12 days!!! So exciting. I always love when it's time to pull out the suitcases for a trip.

Cute luggage tags!!! :) A Christmas ornament and a magnet are always, always on my list too. I also get a Disney calendar each time too as it's neat to have Disney magic hanging in my kitchen all year round. I might have to borrow some of your other ideas!

Can't wait to get home and see your tags! So are you guys flying this time then?

BTW- not to steal your thunder or anything but.....

12 daysssss :banana::yay::woohoo:

Like I said a few days ago, I can't believe this PTR has been going since September. The time has surely flown by.

I love the way you're luggage tags came out! So cute! That Where the Magic Lives CD sounds really cool, I'm about to go see if I can find it on ebay! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Everytime I call Disney Dining they play tracks from it, so I hope they still have it for sale at the parks -- I NEED the Splash Mountain music for my morning drive to work.

:cheer2::banana::banana::cheer2:

I'm so excited for you! In less than 2 weeks you'll be walking down the middle of Main Street U.S.A. (but you don't, necessarily, have to sing the song ;) ). Here's hoping that the next 12 days just fly by and your there before you know it.

Thank you! I can't wait to stroll down Main Street again -- it's been a year and that is long enough for me.

The luggage tags are so cute! :goodvibes You girls are so very creative! ;) Just think you will be using them very soon (in 12 days). Do you have your luggage out? It is almost time to start the packing with the trip so very close (in 12 days).

The conversation with Charles sounds like something that happens here too! Life is fun when they can predict your next statement......:lovestruc

Thanks! No luggage out yet -- I am trying to time it just right. Charles's dad is coming in this weekend so I think after he leaves on Sunday, I will pull them all out.

Charles knows me too well when it comes to Disney. We've had a couple of similar conversations that I will include in my next update -- thank goodness he knows how to put up with my craziness.

Nice luggage tags. I got my brother the cookbook for Christmas in 07-he likes it.

Thank you! I am looking forward to at least looking at the cookbook and deciding if I need it.

Jackie, you guys are SO crafty!!! LOVE the luggage tags! I am soooooo jealous of your 12 days!! I am stealing from your souveneir list...GREAT idea by the way, I have NEVER thought to do that!! Might stop me from compulsive shopping:rolleyes1:rotfl: I will be looking for you to tell me EXACTLY where you were able to buy that "Where the magic lives" CD!;)

Thank you! Steal away on the souvenir list -- I knew I would never remember everything over the year if I didn't write it down.

I so need to hear more about this Mickey Ice Cream Bar Tote....sounds cute and delish at the same time.

I think a shopping list is a very good idea....it can be so over-whelming once you get there it's easy to forget something that you really wanted.

Isn't it adorable???

See, I am very easily overwhelmed at Disney, so if it isn't written down chances are I will forget about it until I am back home. Now, I will have a list to refer to and everything will make it home that I think I want.

First set of replies are on the previous page.

MinnieNurse posted a picture of this truly adorable tote on her PTR, as well as on LL's. It is very cute.:thumbsup2

CP, those luggage tags turned out very snazzy.:goodvibes I think my girls would love to make some of those with me. Mind if I borrow your idea?

Haircuts are on this week's to do list for the boys, and next week's for the girls. Got to look good for Mickey.:goodvibes

I can't believe you're down to less than 2 weeks! Yea for extra updates.:yay:

I so hope all the other DISers haven't grabbed up the totes before I get there. ;)

Borrow away! We may have gone a tad bit overboard on the ribbons, but we had fun.

Yes, I told Charles I was not taking him to Disney if he didn't get a haircut -- it was getting far too long. I teased him about trying to recapture his youth.

Here it is.

I love this picture!!! :lovestruc

12 days!! :yay::dance3::yay: And more frequent updates! :yay::woohoo:

Your luggage tags came out great. It's funny but luggage tags are something I really miss doing room only reservations instead of packages. I was so disappointed when "all" I got were the ugly yellow ME stickers. It's the little things, I guess. :confused3

LOVE your souvenir list. The tote bag is definitely on mine as well. And can't wait to check out Tren-D. And if I had more wall space another Larry Dotson print would be on the list as well. ::yes::

I am SO looking forward to your trip!! :woohoo:

Thank you! I was so excited when they changed the luggage tags this year -- I think that was the one thing I was most looking forward to arriving!

I love the look of Tren-D -- I just know Chelsea will love it, too. We may have to browse one day and then come back another day after we have a chance to think about what we want from there.

Did you find your Larry Dotson artwork at Art of Disney?

I love what you did to those tags! Very cute!
I always try to put something easy to spot so I can tell my black suitcase from the other 500.

Thank you! My MIL always ties great big bows with Christmas ribbon on her suitcases. My mother always uses red yarn.

I can't believe it's only 12 days away!! I'm getting so excited for you!

I love how you jazzed up the tags, they look awesome. I never thought to do that, but I have mine hanging up on the Disney corkboard in my room.

I also need to find that Where the Magic Lives CD. I borrowed my mom's Four Parks, One World CD to put on my laptop, and I have the Wishes soundtrack as well, but I never heard of the one that you're looking for.

I can't remember if I told you this, but your countdown calendar is great. I'm not crafty enough to come up with something like that; I just stuck the numbered Mickey heads on my door and called it a day. :rotfl2:

Thank you! I used our old luggage tags for our pool keys for awhile.

During the many times that I have called Disney for resort changes and ADRs, they always play tracks from Where the Magic Lives CD -- Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Pirates -- I hope they still have them since they advertise it so heavily on their phone system.

Thank you for the compliments on the calendar -- I totally stole the idea from DisMomAmy -- every night after dinner, we put the next sticker up. It will be a shame when we have to take it down after the trip.

Your tags are CUTE!!!!!! What a great way to spice it up! I love crafting. Especially Disney things. I'll reuse my countdown calendar for next year, since I made it a flip calendar. 12 days is not long at ALL!

Thank you! I love Disney crafting! Hobby Lobby had some new Disney scrapbooking stuff when I went on Saturday so I had to snatch it all up.

I got an address book last summer and I love it. It has different characters on each of the letter dividers. I needed a new one and it wasn't too expensive. I will also be coming home with a Mickey Bar tote!

I saw a couple of address books that I really liked last year, but couldn't decide which one I wanted. I have been kicking myself all year for not getting one. My mom tried to teach me the rule of "If you see something you like on vacation, get it, or you will regret it." I try very hard to follow her advice on that, but sometimes I forget. ;)

great list!
I want the CD, a baby ornement, mouse ears for Brady and the Haunted Mansion Clue game. And maybe a big fun obnoxious keychain for the pool key.
We are back from the wedding. It was amazing. I waved to you as we drove up 85N. I'm giving up on the PTR as there is way to much to do in not a lot of time. I'll live vicariously through yours until I start the TR. We're all so close! Yeah!

Thanks cjackearl and MeMom. I think I would end up coming home with both those bags!

I am hoping Chelsea falls in love with the Tink one.

I love how they turned out, too!! :thumbsup2
So pretty!

Kathy

Thank you, Kathy!

You are getting SO close to your trip! I am so excited for you guys!

Thank you! You know I was all about rhinestone Mickey heads when I saw them -- I only bought one pack, but I think I need to go back and get some more.

Thank you! I would like to request a video of the backflips. ;)

The packing will start soon -- I just want to make sure I don't run out of things to do before the trip.

Okay, that was just TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO funny.

OMGoodness!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE these. They look like they should be for sale at the new TrenD shop!!!! :) What cuteness!

Thank you! What's funny is that I am not a big shopper at home -- I really am not. However, Disney shopping is a whole other story -- I love browsing through the shops!

Thank you! Disney music is one of my favorite parts of the vacation (of course, I think I have about a million favorite parts of the vacation, but I do enjoy the music).

I love the update. Your calendar looks fantastic, the tags are too cute!

ELEVEN DAYS! I am so excited for you!

Thank you! I saw your post about the bag you saw -- I wish you had been able to get a picture.

Larry Dotson does all sorts of prints of the parks and resorts -- several DISers have come back with various ones. They are so cute! I will see if I can find some links.

I can't believe how close you are! I thought I posted this last night, but i guess it never went through. Here is a picture I took just for chelsea!

BO!!!! Chelsea will have a fit when she sees it! I love it!

Love the luggage tags, what a great idea. I may have to borrow it!

12 days!!! So exciting. I always love when it's time to pull out the suitcases for a trip.

Thank you! Once I pull out the suitcases I know we are super close -- and the cats will start spazzing because they know we are leaving.

Cute luggage tags!!! :) A Christmas ornament and a magnet are always, always on my list too. I also get a Disney calendar each time too as it's neat to have Disney magic hanging in my kitchen all year round. I might have to borrow some of your other ideas!

Not flying, but I always put the luggage tags on the suitcases. ;)

I saw that spoon rest! It's cute but I am hoping they have some different choices because I am not sure how I feel about Mickey's dismembered arm holding my soup ladle! :lmao:

great list!
I want the CD, a baby ornement, mouse ears for Brady and the Haunted Mansion Clue game. And maybe a big fun obnoxious keychain for the pool key.

Thank you! You are leaving in two days!!! That is so awesome!!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip! Let's hope the rain in Orlando stops soon!

Jackie I just love your souvenir list, I'm totally going to do those for my Sept PTR, because my last 3 day excursion was really on a budget so I pretty much just focued on some Haunted Mansion pins and pretzel rods LOL!!!!! Oh and a jacket...it seems it never fails I always end up with a jacket when I go to Disney even in May...maybe that's my tradition LOL!!! Either way I want a CD and a cookbook next time I go...love the ideas!

Okay I was supposed to let you know that we found the Mickey Bar tote bag at Mousegears at Epcot and it was the grand total of $18.95, it was very cute!!!!!

Congrats on your final day of work, enjoy tomorrow LOL!!

I love the blinged out luggage tags! They look awesome. You're so close to your trip, I just can't believe it. :goodvibes

I am quite proud of my souvenir list! :goodvibes

Oh, thank you so much for pricing and locating the Mickey Bar tote -- is it a sign of obsession that I am thinking about changing which park we go to on our first day just so I can swing by Mousegears and get it?

I love the blinged out luggage tags! They look awesome. You're so close to your trip, I just can't believe it. :goodvibes

Thank you! I cannot begin to adequately convey just how excited I am getting about the trip!
