Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

We don't have a Wii yet, but if they start making Disney games for it, I might have to cave.
That is just what I was thinking.

Six weeks from right now, we'll be headed to DHS for rope drop and Toy Story Mania fast passes with a Hollywood Brown Derby ressie for dinner later in the day! :thumbsup2
Those six weeks will go by so fast too.

Can you believe it is already the end of April and the end of our month at DHS???

So, I have to finish up with everything, besides rides, that we want to do.

Of utmost importance will be the food:
Hollywood Brown Derby: I have already decided I want to order the Cobb Salad and grapefruit cake. For my drink I plan on ordering a Hollywood. It is the meal I am most looking forward to during the entire week. I was also reading in the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World, and it says you can request a "special phone call" and they will bring a phone to your table. I am going to ask about this when we check in -- can you imagine the photo ops with Chelsea and her "star" self taking the call??? I hope they are still doing it.

Backlot Express: We love it here. It is usually quiet, the burgers are good, and there is a fixins' bar. We are planning on eating here Saturday night.

Backlot Canteen (near Studio Catering Co.): There is a drink called the Red Hero with my name on it. Maybe if I have enough Red Heroes, I will brave the Tower of Terror. :rotfl:

I have a list of photographs I want to take while we are at DHS:
The Muppet Show Doors in the Muppets gift shop.
The kids hamming it up on the Streets of America.
The kids posing with celebrity handprints.
Bo -- of course!
There are crates to the left of Min and Bill’s addressed to Rick in Casablanca and Scarlett O'Hara -- I need to find those.
Eddie Valient’s Office
The Roger Rabbit Billboard

As far as shopping, I always like to stop in Sid's and browse, and any other store that catches my eye. ;)

Finally, we want to make sure we catch some of the Star Wars Weekend fun on our first day.

And here's a special treat -- ILuvCrush (Paula) designed a shirt just for Chelsea to wear when she is reunited with her Bo. Isn't it awesome???

Have a great weekend!

JACKIE...do you know how much I learned from this post...seriously there are crates labled to Rick and to Scarlett...must find them must find them.

I too am getting the cobb salad at my lovely lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby...and a phone call that would be so cute...WOW I hope they still haev that!!!

Great update...I loved it!! I can't wait for your trip to arrive!

I was just doing the wishing thing for CP.

We're not going until July.
We're also booked for an after Christmas through New Year's trip.
We're tossing around trying to get in a short October trip, too.

And one of these days, I am going to insist on being made an honorary member of the MeMom clan so I can take four trips in a year! :goodvibes

That is just what I was thinking.

Those six weeks will go by so fast too.

Almost five and a half weeks! Today we entered into the 30's with only 39 days left!

I'm thinking of getting a Wii for Christams for this very reason! LOL

I think I saw that there is a Disney Dance Dance Revolution coming out as well!

Thank you! I can't wait for my trip to arrive either. ;)

I have found so many cute things by reading the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World -- both the crates (must have a pic of Scarlett's crate) and the phone call.

Absolutely!

Just as long as you realize it comes as a dual membership with the I Don't Have Any Money Left Club!

It's probably going to end up being summer, Christmas, and spring break. As much as I want to go in October, I think that goal is a bit lofty. It'll take the fall to recover from the summer trip so that I can be ready for the Christmas trip.

i knew you had this thing going and i knew i wanted to sub, but i just kept getting distracted or busy or.....whatever! the point is i'm sorry it took me so long but i'm here now. i will have to catch up on the details later. thank you for writing another TR that i can live through vicariously while on my disney hiatus!

I had the cobb salad many years ago and LOVED it. I am sure you will too. Love Chelsea's tshirt. :thumbsup2 She will wear it proudly I am sure.

It's Friday. :cool1: Sending Good Wishes for a great day at school today. :teacher:

:welcome: Thanks for coming out of lurkdom!!!

The book is called the Complete Guide to Walt Disney World and the author is Julie something. It really is fabulous with LOTS of information and LOTS of great photos.

I agree -- they definitely need a 4 Parks One World game -- that would make my decision to buy a Wii very easy!

Hi, Jen! I have missed you!!! I hope things calm down for you soon, and you can catch me up on all your news! It's not the same without you around the DIS boards.

Getting ready to update in a little bit before we get more storms. :headache: 15 days of school and 35 days until Disney -- I can't wait! Simply cannot wait! Everyday when I check the mail I hope to find our travel documents and luggage tags, but nothing yet. :( Maybe on Monday...

How soon do you leave after you get out on the 18th?

I can hardly believe that we are only 35 days away from Disney! In five more days we will start our countdown calendar, and I know that my excitement level is going to go off the charts!!!

We love Animal Kingdom, warthogs and all! When we took Chelsea in 1998, we missed the opening by only about ten days. In 2004, since we were traveling with family, we didn't go because no one else wanted to go. So, the first time we set foot in the park was in 2007 -- I have lots of stories and photos from that trip, but that will have to be a later update since Charles has not hooked up the printer/scanner to our computer yet. (We had to replace the hard drive about three weeks ago, and I have been nagging him ever since.)

There are lots of things we have never done in Animal Kingdom that we want to do next month (oh, oh, oh, how wonderful to type that out!).
*Festival of the Lion King
*Conservation Station
*The Pagani Walking Trail
*The Maharajah Jungle Trek
*Jammin' Jungle Parade

There are also lots of things we have done before that we are looking forward to doing again.

*Strolling through the park first thing in the morning.

Of course there are some other favorites, too -- Expedition Everest and Dinosaur!

Oh, it's so close, CP!!
(Hey, we get out of school at the same time. Cool! Sorry, just a side note.)
Animal Kingdom holds a special place in my heart. It was the first park we visited at Disney World. Ah... how magical. :cloud9: AK just IS Disney for me, in a sense. I love the pics of the kids in the face paint. So cute!
Just 35 days!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Oh my goodness, I still laugh out loud at the Bat picture. :rotfl2:

I am really looking forward to Animal Kingdom this trip. I really want to see Finding Nemo. I think you will love Festival of the Lion King, it's amazing.

I loved the Animal Kingdom pictures. They came at a great time my husband just walked in and said his brother and wife are going to Disney in Oct. did we want to go also of course I want to go.:dance3:

You got some great AK pictures. Wow, you guys really did get wet on Kali River Rapids. I was a little wimpy about getting wet last trip, but I'm going to put my big girl panties on this trip and just do it.:thumbsup2 FOTLK is really amazing, you'll love it. Your kids look so cute, I mean ferocious, in their face paint.:goodvibes

It's so funny you wrote about AK today because I just looked up your TR this morning and read the AK day because I think it's what I might want to do in July for our 1-day trip during our Captiva vacation. Is it really brutal when it's hot out?
