Coming right up!

Hooray!! You certainly like to keep us on our toes, Miss Jackie!!

It certainly made me smile today reading everyone's comments!

:rotfl: Love ya, too, Jen! While I can't do anything about Grey's (sure wish I could), I will be updating soon -- I have photos loading into photobucket right now.

So, the other night I was sitting on the computer playing around on the Disney reservation website...

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

How many times have you read that line from me?

It's not what you think, I promise.

As some of you know, I have been a tad bit stressed about the whole Fantasmic!/Extra Magic Hour dilemma at Disney Hollywood Studios. Several of us have decided that Park Hoppers are probably the best solution. I really wanted those Park Hoppers. I miss the days when it was included in any multi-day ticket, and while we had not had them last June, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to add them. However, the catch was that I really didn't want to add $213 more onto our package.

So, the other night I was sitting on the computer and playing around on the Disney reservation site, and lo and behold, there it was...

A standard view room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for the 4/3 deal. If we changed to that and added park hoppers, I would knock $100 off our package price.

Did I hop on the phone right then and there and change things?

Nope. I waited several days -- hemming and hawing in my normal indecisive fashion. Finally last night I decided to do it.

Those are the changes...nothing really major -- just changing to a standard view room at AKL with Park Hoppers. I am excited about the Park Hoppers -- I have visions of spending our evenings -- at least a couple -- at the Magic Kingdom. Oh, how I love the Magic Kingdom at night in the summer. One of my fondest memories is when I was 12, and we stayed at the Contemporary. One night, my dad and I headed over to the Magic Kingdom. I remember sitting near 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and eating a root beer float. Pure childhood bliss.

Returning to today, I didn't want to post about the changes until something else happened.

As a teacher, I get paid at the end of the month, and for whatever reason, my bank always seems to post my paycheck the day before the last day of the month. I wanted to pay off my package today for a very particular reason, but needed my paycheck to be deposited in order to do that (we NEVER charge our vacations). Here's what happened:

9:00: Paycheck not posted to the account.
10:00: Paycheck still not posted to the account. Was this going to be one of those weird times when it really didn't get deposited until tomorrow?
11:30: Paycheck deposited!
11:35: Disney Reservation Website down for whatever reason. Seriously? :headache:
1:00: Disney Reservation Website back up and running. LAST PAYMENT MADE ON OUR PACKAGE! WE ARE PAID IN FULL!!!

Why did I want to do it today? Why, because it is 100 DAYS UNTIL WE GO TO DISNEY!!!

Besides wanting to pay our package off today, we had a little celebration at our house to mark our 100 days 'til Disney.

After talking to Lady Lallie and Brookelizabeth over on LL's PTR about corn dog nuggets from Casey's, I discovered I had a powerful hankering for the little things. On our way home from school, we made a quick stop at the grocery store for dinner.

Yes, I really did take a picture of the box. Chelsea and Connor about fell off their chairs laughing when they saw me doing it.

Last week Heidi (MRYPPNS) posted a picture of a Mickey sundae her son had gotten at Beaches n' Cream. I knew, just knew, I had to make them for our 100 Day Celebration. They were a hit!

While we were enjoying our ice cream sundaes, Connor treated us to an impromptu Disney trivia game. Here are his questions (which he came up with all on his own):

1. What was Mickey Mouse's original name?
2. What is the last scene on Splash Mountain?
3. Name three attractions in the Magic Kingdom which are related in some way (he did say there could be multiple answers on this one).
4. How many ghosts are in the Haunted Mansion?

And last, but not least, you do know what 100 days really means, right? Just ten more days until we can make ADRs!!!

Wahoo!! Saving money and park hopping! Sounds amazing! And I love your 100 Days Celebration! Looks like you all had fun with your Mickey Sundaes.... :)

And I think I only know the answer to one of Connor's trivia questions! Maybe 2....I know how many ghosts there are...and I think I know what Mickey's original name was! But I might be wrong....

Ha ha. We posted at the same time. :)

Do you really want an answer? ;) :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

I tried to do separate quotes for the rest but I screwed it up so will just comment.

Re: the standard view vs. savannah. While there is no denying that seeing the animals from your room is super cool, the resort is set up very smartly and there are tons of common areas for viewing the animals. I think you will be fine!! :thumbsup2

Love your rootbeer float memory! :lovestruc That's what Disney is all about! And I miss 20,000 Leagues... don't you?

:cheer2: HURRAH for being paid in full! :cheer2:

LOVE your 100 day celebration. Seriously, your house sounds like so much fun. Can't say I'm a corndog person  but those sundaes look divine. Connor has good trivia questions... will he be providing the answers?

10 more days til ADRS!! Are you ready? ;)

CP! I am so coming to live with you. Corn Dogs for dinner! Mickey Sundaes for dessert!

I think you will be very happy in a Standard View at AKL. It's your dream resort after all. Plus, I think the park hoppers will be great for the CP Family. I think you will get a lot of use out of them and nothing beats a summer night at Magic Kingdom. :lovestruc

I am so pleased and now that I am all paid off there won't be any more changes.

We did enjoy our sundaes -- Connor made a mess of himself by the end.

And I think I only know the answer to one of Connor's trivia questions! Maybe 2....I know how many ghosts there are...and I think I know what Mickey's original name was! But I might be wrong....

Ha ha. We posted at the same time. :)

You could probably answer the third one, too -- you just have to be able to spot a relationship of some sort with any three attractions. Chelsea did a set, and I had a completely different set.

Do you really want an answer? ;) :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well...;)

I think standard view will be just fine -- like you said, there are a lot of common areas, and no matter what, with a standard view we should be close to the lobby. One of my worries was that with a savannah view we would be forever away.

Love your rootbeer float memory! :lovestruc That's what Disney is all about! And I miss 20,000 Leagues... don't you?

I miss it a lot -- it was one of my favorites. My dad was a submariner and I have always idolized him (I was such a Daddy's girl) so I always felt like I was just like him when we rode it. I loved the giant squid.

:cheer2: HURRAH for being paid in full! :cheer2:

Now I can write all the details in the Passporter. :lmao:

I have to be in the right mood for corn dogs and I was in that mood today. However, I ate my fair share of those 38 and then some, so I am probably all set until June.

Yes, I will provide the answers in my next official post. I was quite impressed with his questions because he normally is pretty low-key about Disney until we are actually there.

10 more days til ADRS!! Are you ready? ;)

I think so...I can't wait! It will be the one Sunday this year that I don't mind waking up early!

:goodvibes Come on down!

Put me in a closet at AKL and I will be happy. :thumbsup2 Here's a perfect example of my complete goofiness: one of the things I am most looking forward to? Standing under the AKL sign waiting for a bus back from the parks.

I think the Park Hoppers will work out really well because some nights Charles likes to go to bed early and since he is not a big fan of MK, the kids and I can go play there until we can't stay awake any longer.

Did we talk about this? My dad was a submariner too!!

Don't tell me Connor is closeted along with Charles! :lmao:

And I will be up early ready to live vicariously! :hyper:

NO WAY! Nope, we haven't talked about this before! My dad was a Machinist's Mate for years on various nuclear submarines -- he was stationed in San Diego when he met my mom; I was born in Bremerton, WA; then, we lived in Charleston for years and years.

Don't tell me Connor is closeted along with Charles! :lmao:

 No where near as bad as Charles -- he will admit that he likes Disney a lot, but doesn't gush about it like Chelsea and I do.

And I will be up early ready to live vicariously! :hyper:

Hurray! :cheer2:

WAY! My dad also on nuclear subs. But doesn't sound like quite in the same places. And I'm not sure what the heck he did on them. :confused3 I was born in Saratoga Springs, NY then lived in Connecticut, Maryland, and Florida. And now am back in CT... why, oh why didn't we stay in Florida?? :sad2:

Yay about standard rooms! Don't you love saving money and still getting that magical feeling? Saving money is always great but sometimes it can be heartwrenching if it means not getting to stay where you want--but yay for still being at the AKL, being able to get park hoppers AND saving money!

Congrats on being paid in full!!! I can't wait until I can say those words! What a fun night you had with your kids!!

That's so funny! No wonder we both miss 20,000 Leagues so much! :rotfl: Are you like me and had to watch all the sub movies growing up -- Das Boot, The Hunt for Red October, Crimson Tide, etc.? Did you live in New London, CT when you were younger? That's where my uncle (my mom's brother who introduced my parents) was stationed for awhile -- I remember going to visit him and my aunt there. Then, he got transferred to Hawaii -- why didn't my dad want that assignment??? :rotfl:

It was a triple win for sure!!! I feel so lucky!!! Now if June would just hurry up!

Congrats on being paid in full!!! I can't wait until I can say those words! What a fun night you had with your kids!!

Thank you! We did have fun! I didn't think we would get it paid off so quickly -- I was aiming for the end of March paycheck, but between all the resort switching and taxes, it's the first time I have paid it off this early.

Too funny! Definitely had to watch all the movies. And then hear about how realistic or unrealistic they were. :lmao: Yes, we did live in the New London area when my dad was in the Navy (don't live in that part of the state anymore). Wouldn't Hawaii have been a cool place to grow up? Although we probably wouldn't have made it to WDW too often....
