Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

I just realized you even have the real sundae dishes!! :worship: Where did you get yours?? I have a feeling they will not look nearly as good in something else.

I was thinking the same thing... I want to make those desserts but I'll have to figure out what to do about the dishes. Any suggestions?

Yeah! for being paid in full! Yeah for double digits!!

Jackie you are good....your ice creams look just like the real thing. And doesn't everything taste better when it's in the shape of Mickey Mouse??

First of all... omygoshhh.. those look soo yummy! And they pretty much look identical.. I just migth have to try..

Secondly, YAY to double digits! and Yay to closer day to ADR's... I made the ressies the other day and it seemed like it took forever for that day to come. We pretty much got all we wanted.. so I hope you get what you want as well. Idk why.. but your post mentions nuggets and now I want those for dinner.. man.. I must be hungry.. hehe

Let's see, I'm trying to catch up, so here goes:

Yay for park hopping!
Yay for corn dogs!
Yay for being paid!
Yay for double digits!
Yay for the zebra dome I know you will have for me while you are at AKL and I am not.
Yay for three weeks from today when I will be in Epcot!

I know, I just intruded on your yays with my yays, but I just got carried ayay.
I mean away.
I've been in a room with twenty third-graders with jammies and teddy bears and hot chocolate and donuts all day. I'm a little crazier than normal.

CP,
All of the parks hours are now visible. I still can't see the wishes schedule? Do you see it anywhere for our dates?

I agree about the sundae glasses making the sundaes look extra special. I made those for my kids awhile ago, but they were not nearly as cute in a bowl.

Also, oh my heck, Disney fiscal responsibility must have been in the air this week. It's a long story, but I had changed my reservation a few different times, starting with 8 nights, 4 @ BC, 4 @ POR and after the 4/3 came out, 8 @ BC. A few days ago I started thinking that I probably didn't need that 8th night and it would be at rack rate, so I cancelled my ressie and rebooked for 7 nights @ BC with the 4/3 offer, with DP and 8 day base tickets. I saved $600!!!::banana:  We're now officially paid off with a few hundred left over. Hubby says its for savings, I say its extra for Disney!!:goodvibes

Congrats on being paid off early.:thumbsup2

Hi Jackie!

You sure had us all in suspense with that teaser....:thumbsup2 but savings is always fun, isn't it?

I also wanted to let you know - the Disney fairies answered my dreams and I am going back December 26 - Jan 2!!!!! My sister and I are going the same as my aunt and uncle and their kids, so it should be a fun fun time. I am so excited I want to buy my park tickets now, how nuts is that??!!

Talk to you soon, hope you like the Special Delivery on its way!

I am so pleased you are getting to go back in December and now that I am looking at your dates again, I realize you will be ringing in 2010 at WDW! Lucky girl!!!

I'll be watching the mailbox tomorrow. :thumbsup2

TEN days. TEN days. TEN days.....zzzzzzz Ten Days.....zzzzzz ...

So much for counting sheep to fall asleep, just repeat after me " Ten Days..."

Last night my mind must have been filled with thoughts of Disney because I dreamed I was at the Magic Kingdom trying to decide whether or not to ride the Jungle Cruise or the Haunted Mansion. :rotfl:

 for park hoppers and paying off the trip! We paid ours off in full today too, what a coincidence and it feels so good and real! :goodvibes I think you made the right decision with the hoppers...and you're still saving $100 and all you had to do what change what type of room you were in. Sounds good to me, congrats Jackie!

Isn't it a nice feeling? I bet Disney really liked both of us yesterday! ;)

Thanks Jackie for not making me wait! I love the corn dogs---- and the sundaes might appear at my house soon too- cute idea!

:cool1: for the hoppers.... and maybe some pixie dust so your regular room ends up being upgraded!

Thank you! In the back on my mind, I do have a little hope that we get upgraded! Hope you have fun visiting your in-laws this weekend!

It was very cool. I just kept thinking to myself, "Everyone must be totally jealous of me."

:lmao:

:lmao: I so know that will be me in June!

Whoooopppieeeee, park hopping craziness at it's finest!:thumbsup2 :dance3: :cheer2: :yay: :rotfl: ;)

The celebration looked like so much fun! Hooray to 100 days!

It has added a whole new definition to my planning that's for sure. I was just looking at my day chart and wondering how I would figure this all out now.

Good for you on the park hopping. I'm seriously debating it for my September trip, especially since we'll be there during Food and Wine festival. I was reading...don't remember where...about a couple who would just walk around Epcot after their kids fell asleep in their strollers, and I thought, wow, that sounds so nice! :lmao:

So you had some changes, but not crazy ones, and that's good. I'm happy for you! And    for 100 days! That's always fun. I can't believe you can make ADRs soon. Once you do that, it always seems more real, doesn't it? :goodvibes

Even if we don't use the park hopper but once or twice, I like the idea of the freedom it will give us to do whatever we want or to go wherever we want each day.

All day long I have had moments where I have stopped and thought, "It's all paid off -- we are really going!" I think in the back of my mind I am always a little afraid that something will happen that will prevent us going. I am really going to be on cloud nine once the ADRs are made!

Yay for park hopping!! :cool1:

We've decided to park hop this time (as usual). We were considering trying to go without it, but it's hard with the evening entertainment. We may skip F! but hopping will still help us with Wishes and Spectro. I have to add the hoppers back on when I pay in 2 weeks! I can't wait to have it paid in full!

Your 100 day celebration looks like so much fun!!

Thanks! We did have fun with our little celebration! I am really glad we added the PH because now I can really try and avoid the EMH and F! crowds.

Oh........that was TOTALLY worth the wait!!!! Thanks for sharing all the scoop with us---I'm so glad you guys were able to work it all out and get the hoppers!!! How did you find the 4/3 room on the website??? Did it just pop up when you put in a reservation request for an AKL room???

There is an icon on the website for the 4/3 deal -- I just click on that and then follow the directions. I about have them memorized. :rotfl:

I think you made a good decision for you guys. :thumbsup2

Congrats on paying off your trip and for being at 100 days!!

I love the sundaes!! I think I'm going to have to steal that one.

Thanks! Steal away on the sundaes. We had them again tonight.

It's Double Digit Dance Day!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Pretend there are 10 more lines of these little dancing smilies, which would equal 99 dancing smilies...11 lines exceeded the smilie limit!

Thanks for throwing me a dance party!!! Connor was the first one to exclaim today, "Just 99 more days!"

DOUBLE DIGIT DAY!!! WHOO!

Thank you! I have been doing a little dance all day!!!

Just stopping by to do some double-digit dancing with 'ya!!!

:cool1:  :woohoo: :dance3: :yay: party: :dogdance:

And, congratulations on getting your park hoppers! What are your plans for the $100 you saved? :rotfl:

Kathy

I love double-digit dance parties! Thanks! I will be spending that extra $100 at Disney, of course! ;)

Yeah! for being paid in full! Yeah for double digits!!

Jackie you are good....your ice creams look just like the real thing. And doesn't everything taste better when it's in the shape of Mickey Mouse??

I printed out your picture and had it sitting right by the sundae dishes while I was making them. It was really quite sad, in an OCD kind of way, to see me trying to mound the ice cream just right. :lmao:

They were delicious! I wish all my food could be shaped like Mickey! :rotfl:

I think we might have to have Mickey Mouse chocolate ice cream for dessert on real day!! How fun!

Happy 99 days!!!!!!!!!!

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Thanks!!! Judging by Chelsea and Connor, I will have to make these quite frequently!

just found your trip report!!!! woohoo for double digits..and chocolate apparently :goodvibes PS I'm a HUGE park hopper fan lol..

:welcome: You are just in time for the party!

Jackie!!!
Congrats on your park hoppers. I could tell you really wanted them. It doesn't work for our family but I think it is great for older kids.

You were an angel for posting these today!!! I was so excited to see them!!! I really wasn't expecting them before Sunday!!! Now the planning can really begin in earnest!

WHOOHOO for Trip celebrations and trips being paid off that is Fantabulous Jackie!!!!

So can I answer Connor's trivia LOL!!!!!! I know for sure I can answer at least 1 of them...LOL!!!!

I'm so excited for you!! The trip is official its going in the passporter WHOOHOO!!! Can't wait to hear more Jackie!!

You rode 20,000 leagues under the sea....I'm so jealous. I was tell LL the other night how sad a Disney fan I am that I missed out on some really cool extinct rides now LOL!!!

Thank you!

Answer away!!!

I am thinking I might fill out the Passporter on Sunday (when it is supposed to be snowing all day  )!

There were some great ones that I really miss -- most of all I miss 20,000 Leagues and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. To this day, my mom and I say, "Woo hoo, it's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" when my dad starts going fast on the freeway. Do you know I have never ridden the Winnie-the-Pooh ride and I think it's because it makes me so sad that Mr. Toad is no longer there. (I tend to hold grudges for a very long time). Come to think of it, I have never set foot in Pooh's Playful Spot either which is where 20,000 Leagues used to be.

I just realized you even have the real sundae dishes!! :worship: Where did you get yours?? I have a feeling they will not look nearly as good in something else.

When I saw Heidi's photo the first time, I thought -- hey, I have those sundae glasses! I bought ours about ten years ago at a place called Garden Ridge -- I don't know if they have those stores in Maryland or not. I bet someplace like Walmart or Target carries them -- they are not super fancy or anything -- I think I spent about $2 a piece on them. We bought root beer float glasses at the same time.

Congrats on the great deals! I love having park hoppers, even if I only hop for one or two of the days.

I'm really curious about corn dogs now. I've never had one!

Thanks! That's my reasoning about the park hoppers, too!

You've never had a corn dog??? You must try one at some point if you like hot dogs.

I was thinking the same thing... I want to make those desserts but I'll have to figure out what to do about the dishes. Any suggestions?

Check anyplace that carries glassware -- as summer approaches I bet they will be easier to find.

Idk why.. but your post mentions nuggets and now I want those for dinner.. man.. I must be hungry.. hehe

Yeay for getting all your ADRs!!! I hope we do, too, but with the Park Hoppers, we can be much more flexible in our days and times.

Let's see, I'm trying to catch up, so here goes:

Yay for park hopping!
Yay for corn dogs!
Yay for being paid!
Yay for double digits!
Yay for the zebra dome I know you will have for me while you are at AKL and I am not.

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Our yays can get all mixed up anytime!!! I will definitely eat a zebra dome for you -- or two or three or four...I keep thinking they may be my bedtime snack every night.

I bet being in a room with hyped up 3rd graders would make anyone feel a little crazed! Thank goodness it is Friday, right?

CP,
All of the parks hours are now visible. I still can't see the wishes schedule? Do you see it anywhere for our dates?

Since it is showing every night, that gives us a lot of lee-way.

I agree about the sundae glasses making the sundaes look extra special. I made those for my kids awhile ago, but they were not nearly as cute in a bowl.

Congrats on being paid off early.:thumbsup2

I tried to use regular bowls tonight to make the second round and Connor insisted that they needed to be in the sundae bowls.

You ended up with what we had for our original 4/3 ressie! Beach Club looks like so much fun, I bet you will have a blast there!

I'm still catching up on my subscribed threads and found your update. I think your change to a standard view to pay for the hoppers was an EXCELLENT choice. I think you will get a lot more enjoyment from the hopper, you can always walk to the savanna from your room.

I  your 100 day celebration, you are so creative! only 10 days till ADR's :cool1: (well OK, now it's only 9 :rotfl: )

Yeah for everything! Being paid up feels great, right?

We usually do a "Back to the World in 80 days" celebration (you know, around/back) and I am totally gonna swipe that sundae idea!! Yummm!!

You're in double digits now!!!

Thanks for your help in freeing the panos!:goodvibes

I'll be one of those people that are jealous of you standing under the AKL bus sign. :thumbsup2

It does feel great!

Oh, I love the Back to the World in 80 Days Celebration -- that will be quite soon for you, won't it? :goodvibes

You are welcome -- but I must admit, it was for purely selfish reasons -- I wanted to see those panos! :rotfl:

Can you imagine the sense of power and prestige the people standing under the Grand Floridian sign must feel??? :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

These are GREAT changes!! AKL is kinda "known" as a resort that commonly upgrades - I don't say this to get your hopes up, we didn't get an upgrade on our honeymoon there - but I hear some people get upgraded almost every visit, and I've heard Standard to Conceriage more than once!!

And like said before, there are tons of public viewing areas, so you'll still get to enjoy the Savannah.

Oh, and I've even seen some Stanard views that had glimpses of the Savannah! If I can track down WHERE those rooms are, I will let you know.

Your PH will be such a nice bonus when those crowds are crazy, or if you just want to take in Wishes again and again and again! :yay:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your 100 day celebration meal! And congratulations on being ALL PAID UP!

Okay, I have a screaaaaaaaaaaming one year old to deal with. He just threw his yogurt on the floor and I took it away. :sad2: Fun fun!

Yay for park hoppers!:cool1: I LOVED your 100 day celebration...I may have to copy that:rolleyes1 I can't believe you get to make your ressies so soon! I will be watching you closely to help me plan out our days too!:goodvibes

J,
could you please explain the passporters to me. I have always used UG and his website touringplans.com, and of course the disboard for all my planning. I have often wondered about passporters but never purchased it. TIA

You must take a big step toward forgiveness and give Pooh a chance. It's not his fault for the changes, you know. ;)

That's so funny about your mom talking about your dad's 'wild ride' driving!:rotfl:

Those State Fair mini-corndogs are good, too. The breading has a good texture.

Just knowing you'll be having zebra domes for me makes me happy. :) Trent just said the other day that we need to stay there someday, which just goes to show once again that even though the guys roll their eyes and laugh at Jill and me, they really do like going.

Yes, Fridays are the best.
Payday Fridays, especially!

I loved the sundaes---don't think I mentioned that in my last post---I have to come up with a replacement for the cherry nose though, because Tom and Megan are not cherry lovers. I'm thinking maybe a Milk Dud. I wish I had the sundae glasses to put them in, but I will just have to come up with some other creative container!!!

I am so happy for you that everything is falling right into place---I am also squeezing my fingers tightly for you to get an upgrade!!! One can hope!!!!

So glad June hours are already out---I know what you will be doing today!!!!

Yay for Mickey sundaes and Yay for 100 Days! LOL. I just read your update and it's so cute. I just can't wait for your trip, I'm wasting away in PTR land, anticipating but not experiencing yet....

Jackie, With your resort confirmation number most CMs are allowing ressies on the 100 day rolling plan. I am on the phone right now to schedule June 7th and 8th.
Some times are already filling up, you should call now!

Oh well, never mind.........whatever hiccup that was allowing me to make those reservations early has been eliminated. :confused3 I have to call back tomorrow........... so don't waste your time!

My kids don't like cherries, either -- I just ate their noses for them.

Wouldn't an upgrade be lovely?

Yes, I have run errands and now need to clean the house, but then I am going to plan, plan, plan.

Yay for Mickey sundaes and Yay for 100 Days! LOL. I just read your update and it's so cute. I just can't wait for your trip, I'm wasting away in PTR land, anticipating but not experiencing yet....

:rotfl: It will be here soon (I hope). :goodvibes

Some times are already filling up, you should call now!

I tried calling and was on hold for 30 minutes. I listened to Grim, Grinning Ghosts, the Trolley Song, the Enchanted Tiki Room, and the Splash Mountain song. The CM I got told me March 8th :(. I am so sad. I really wanted to go ahead and start scheduling. I don't like it when some CMs follow the rules and others don't -- it is so not fair. :sad1: I don't mind waiting until March 8th, but I will not be happy if things I want are all booked up. :headache:

Henry? That sweet, precious baby is throwing a fit???

Concierge? Now that would be an upgrade that would have me dancing in the hotel lobby. LOL!

We are very excited to have it all paid for and celebrating double digits.

Yay for park hoppers!:cool1: I LOVED your 100 day celebration...I may have to copy that:rolleyes1 I can't believe you get to make your ressies so soon! I will be watching you closely to help me plan out our days too!:goodvibes

I am telling you -- those DHS hours/F! are going to be the end of me -- when they don't have one or the other, it's Star Wars Weekends! I think I need to resign myself to encountering crowds one way or another.

J,
could you please explain the passporters to me. I have always used UG and his website touringplans.com, and of course the disboard for all my planning. I have often wondered about passporters but never purchased it. TIA

The nice thing about the Passporters is that there are these pockets at the end of the book for each day. It's a great place to take notes and stuff receipts, park maps, ADR confirmations, etc. I just love mine!

You must take a big step toward forgiveness and give Pooh a chance. It's not his fault for the changes, you know. ;)

That's so funny about your mom talking about your dad's 'wild ride' driving!:rotfl:

Yes, Fridays are the best.
Payday Fridays, especially!

I know I should give Pooh a chance, but I don't want to see the scene where Toad is handing over the deed. :sad1: ;) Maybe I will take that big step this summer. I also never look for his tombstone at the HM. I'm weird, I now. LOL!

I remember my kids asking why we called Gran'daddy Mr. Toad when he drove -- that was an interesting explanation -- "Well, there was this ride at the MK, based on a cartoon based on a book...about Mr. Toad and when he drove, he drove all crazily..." I think I gave up at some point when their eyes glazed over.

I do understand about the eye-rolling -- last night Connor said, "Only 99 more days..." and Charles finished the sentence with "until -- and said that word that means that place that's really hot" (he's such a bad influence) -- my response was, "No, it's just Florida in June :lmao: ." He tries to pretend that he's not excited, but I heard excitement in his voice when I told him I had paid off the trip. ;)

I wish every Friday were Payday Friday.
