Got Pixie Dust? A June 2009 PTR ~TR Link, Page 180

Because of being in the dark, I found it really hard to tell when I was upside down. The take off is far "worse" than the loops IMHO!

I agree... its more of a corkscrew than a giant loop, so its really not bad at all... you don't actually get the sensation of being upside down! :upsidedow

Press your head against the headrest at take off and it helps! :thumbsup2

Eight more, now. ;) I think a Memorial Day to Labor Day summer would be awesome -- I always hate going back to school at the beginning of August when the rest of the country is still on vacation.

Thank you! Wait until you see the stickers Connor has been choosing for the calendar -- it is giving Chelsea absolute fits!

And it seems like we go back earlier and earlier every year. Teachers here are going back the first week in August these days, too.

Having had two boys vs. one girl in situations like this, I've got a pretty good idea of what's going on with the stickers and the fits. ;)

Can't wait to see the calendar again soon! :cool1:

I will never forget Connor looking at a pair of Yeti slippers and being aghast at the price, which he was sure to share with everyone within listening range, "$22! $22 for a pair of Yeti feet!!! That is ridiculous!!!"
That reminds me of when we were in a seafood restaurant at the beach. Omicron was 5 and reading the menu and shouted "Eight dollars for a kids meal? THis is ridiculous! We are only kids how could we possibly eat that much?!!"

I told him it was ok because grandma was paying for it

Everything else looks great Jackie.

Oh, but I would know it was there! I am such a chicken at heart -- I even had a nightmare one time about riding it. Luckily Connor doesn't have any desire to ride it or I would be out of luck and hanging on for dear life.

Nah, Connor and I will just go find another ride to do while Charles and Chelsea rock out! ;)

Our first day back this year is July 31st! I think that is so wrong to have to go back in July.

Connor did opt for a more traditional Jiminy Cricket sticker yesterday, but then his sister fussed at him about leaving his bath sponge on the shower ledge. Poor kid can't catch a break from his older sister. :confused3

I'm dying to see Connor's choice of stickers.......

I'll take a picture this weekend when we are at the three-week mark!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: Kids are so funny!

Okay, from a dozen other threads, I've compiled a list of about twenty things you so-called DISers have NEVER DONE! :scared1:

So, I came over here to find out exactly what it is you people do do when you are in Disney World!

And if you giggle like a bunch of third-graders at the previous sentence, well, I will totally understand. :rotfl:

July 31st? We'd be at war over that! The first week in August is awful enough!

I'm like a little kid waiting anxiously to see the calendar again! :dance3:

MeMom, did you say do-do? I smell something.........
:rotfl2:

Do you see the high quality of readers you have here? :scared1:

Thanks heavens it's Friday!!!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: We must do something while we are there -- we keep going back. I am afraid that once I compile my list of MK, it is going to be clear that all we do there is eat Dole Whips, ride POTC, and shop. ;)

We are at war over the July 31st date -- it is only two days earlier than last year, but it is the fact that it is JULY. That is so unfair.

MeMom, did you say do-do? I smell something.........
:rotfl2:

MeMom said do do!!! :rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl2:

Giggling like a 3rd grader here too. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl:

Looking forward to an update this weekend?! :flower3:

Hmmm, for a second I thought I was back in my middle school classroom! (MeMom, they are still giggling over do-do in their early teen years. ;))

They particularly like it when we are doing sentence structure, and I emphasize how you can't start a sentence with "but". I always say, "I don't want to see your buts at the beginning of your sentences, and they lose it everytime. Whatever it takes to get them to remember grammar rules. :rolleyes1

Have a happy Friday:yay:.

Hurray for Friday! We only have one more school Friday -- it is such a great feeling!

Do-do? Heehee. Have a good weekend, CP!:goodvibes

:lmao: Thank you! It's been crazy busy so far.

Jackie,
I am going to start my list today....

Starting my list tonight -- it will be part of my weekend update! :thumbsup2

Three weeks from today we will be living it up at Disney Hollywood Studios!!!

Our Countdown Calendar is moving right along. Connor likes to put random stickers on from time to time -- including a Happy Birthday and a Thank You one. I think he does it because it drives his sister nuts.

Today Connor and his school competed in the State Science Olympiad. It was held at Kennesaw State University, and when we stepped onto the Campus Green, he exclaimed, "It's as big as the Magic Kingdom!" :rotfl: Not quite. He had a great time competing in his events and really wanted to take a silly picture where he was giving me bunny ears.

Over on ILUVXU's PTR, she has been posting one thing they are looking forward to each day until their trip. It is becoming quite apparent that there are a LOT of rides that I or the rest of the family have never done. So, we decided to compile a list of our never-dones. Now keep in mind that I have been going to WDW pretty regularly since 1975, so I am not quite sure how I have missed some of these. The only excuse I can come up with is that we are very much creatures of habit. Also, I decided that if at least two members of our family have ridden a ride, it would count (like RNRC). So, here are our never-dones for rides and attractions by park.

Magic Kingdom
Frontierland Shootin' Arcade
Tom Sawyer Island
Liberty Belle Riverboat
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
Carousel of Progress (I did it years ago, but no one else has)

Epcot
The Seas with Nemo and Friends
Turtle Talk with Crush
Living with the Land (another one I have done, but no one else)
Circle of Life
Honey, I Shrunk the Audience
Universe of Energy (I remember the dinosaurs when I was eight and rode it)
Impressions de France (I have done it)
O Canada (I have done it)
Reflections of China (I have done it)
Illuminations

Disney Hollywood Studios
Playhouse Disney (will probably never do this)
Lights, Motor, Action!
Sounds Dangerous
American Idol
One Man's Dream
Fantasmic!

Animal Kingdom
It's Tough to be a Bug
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
Rafiki's Planet Watch
Maharajah Jungle Trek
Flights of Wonder
Triceratop Spin
Finding Nemo
Festival of the Lion King

Whew! It wasn't quite as shameful as I had feared. We will probably manage to cross some of these off our list on this trip, but some will have to wait for another trip. ;)

Okay I now have to go and edit my list... you have shamed me...

I forgot a few! (American Idol-it was not on my map and Frontier shooting arcade)

BTW your list is not that long... I expected longer:rotfl2:

I knew you had not done Illuminations... but not Fantasmic... I am surprised (although I remember your HS day last year)

Also I know you have done what I am posting tomorrow... and should be pretty safe for the next month!

We have teased you a lot lately...but we do love you!:flower3:

I used Birnbaum's and just flipped and typed. They don't have One Man's Dream listed, so I had to go back and edit just now.

Oh, I don't mind the teasing, I just kept thinking, "Wait, I haven't done that either." It's been very amusing.

Girl, look at your countdown calendar!:woohoo: You're in the homestretch now.:goodvibes

Re:The List--some of my lists are fairly long. Do we have to count all the movies in Epcot? If so, uh oh.

I need to make myself a list like that. :goodvibes Excellent idea! You have a lot of must dos this time don't ya?

Love the countdown calendar!
