Got Our Paperwork

Has a thread already been started for OKW owners who have received their paperwork to deed the extension back to Disney? I tried doing a search but nothing came up.

We finally received our paperwork yesterday in the mail. We sent in our postcard declining the extension MONTHS ago, and to be honest I kind of forgot about the whole thing. DH and I are going to get it notarized tomorrow and send it off.

Anyone else get theirs already?

We actually signed our papers at WDW last month. It was very easy and we got to have ice cream too!

LOL, no ice cream when you do it from home! We just thought it was easier to do while we were there, and I'm glad we did it that way.

We had our papers notarized today and will mail out tomorrow. At our ages it makes sense not to extend and we really didn't want to spend the money, but for some reason I felt a little sad signing the papers. I guess maybe because that makes it a final decision.

I know how you feel. DH and I went back and forth so many times trying to decide, but in the end decided it did not make sense for us to extend. But I'm still a little sad about it.

Sorry to interject with a question that may be dumb, but how does the extension effect those buying resale? We're in the process of buying an OKW contract resale, and didn't even think to ask about this. Would the seller have already had to have made the decision (and I guess declined since they were selling)? Even if they did decline, would we be able to accept (and pay for) the extension?

We received our packet a few days ago, although we haven't sent it back yet (not that convenient for us to get documents notorized). Everything looked pretty straight forward.
