We made our Thanksgiving trip reservations just under the 7mo window last spring because our alma mater was a last minute substitution for another team for the Old Spice basketball tournament. So we had a hodge podge of reservations - all over the place.
Finally in the last two weeks with a lot of calling and a lot of agonizing.....we have a full 10 days at OKW in a 2BR. I called this am on a whim and lo and behold there was a 2BR for the two nights that we still didn't have - 11/26 and 11/27. We have a cash reservation elsewhere that I can now let go.
We still have to move 3 times from a dedicated to a lock-off, back to a dedicated, back to a lock off.......which will be highly annoying.
But I'm going to call a couple of times every day to see if I can move anything. We're still on a waitlist and I'm hoping the folks at OKW will sprinkle a little pixie dust on our reservation and move things around so that we can be in one 2BR for the entire trip.
So have hope those who are still waiting and call everyday between 9-10 am.
