Got my Visa today!!

I still get one! HE HE HE!! I wasn't to happy that I was rejected that I signed up my DF and put myself as the second card holder, and he was approved. Go fiqure. Oh well I still get the card!

Didn't you just post about three days ago that you weren't approved for a card? Is that when you signed up your DF? If so, you sure got a response quickly!

Yeah it was me. I only signed up myself the first day you could. So when I got my rejection letter I went online and signed up DF, put myself as second card holder. That was I think on Tuesday then yesterday I called the phone number and he was approved that fast. He's a butthead!!

We got one of our cards in the mail on last Thursday or Friday. My card should be coming in 5 to 7 business days. Has anyone been able to figure out what the interst rate is?

I got a letter from BankOnes security...They want to confirm that it is really me that applied for the card. I had to send an original gas/electric bill, original phone bill and a copy of my social security card. Of course, I was not able to find my social security card, so I sent them a copy of my pay stub, it has my name and ss# on it. I put a note in it, that I'd like my card ASAP since we're leaving on Friday. I doubt I'll get it in time though.

I finally got mine! I guess my name was too long and they had to call me to see how I wanted it shortened. No big deal, as long as I received it before my April trip. It was nice to be asked how I wanted my name rather than have them just drop several letters from it like some of the other CC co's did.

I was at WDW for 2 weeks so I'm sure it came awhile ago but received it today since my mail was held. What a nice suprise. Wish I had it while on vacation. Could have used it and paid it back when I got home to earn the reward points.

I know it has a variable rate which I didn't like but I will always pay the balance when it comes. I have another card that is 8.9% fixed if I need to carry the balance for a large purchase.

My card states "charter member" under my name and in the member since section, it states "day 1".

They called today and said that they couldn't fit his whole name on the card it's 19 letters altogether

Has anyone else who was "under review" received their card lately?

Fine, but I'm confused.

Lots of people here have stated they kept hearing the "your application is under review" message who eventually either received a card or a decline letter.

I think some others have even implied that they called the number and actually heard some sort of "you've been approved" message.

My question: did ANYONE ever call and hear a "you've been declined" message?

I haven't seen any such posts, and am beginning to suspect that the Bank One application update phone system intentionally doesn't tell people the've been declined. Why? To avoid the obvious scenario of people hearing that, immediately hitting "zero" (to get to a real person) and asking questions about why they were turned down. They'd rather send the bad news through the mail to avoid having to discuss it personally.
