Got my PassPorter!

I love my Passporter. I love the organization and the pockets. I bought my first one last year (5 for $3-previous yr copy). DH bought me a new one after our July trip. I already have the pockets full of stuff for our Dec trip.

Got my Deluxe refill as well. I bought the 2006 versions of UG and Passporter, then ended up buying the 2007 versions before our first trip! I hope they appreciate my money. :teeth:

But seriously, both are great products. I'm having a lot of fun going through the passporter and reading the highlighted-in-green sections to see what changed. Looks like when they went to press, they didn't know that Wonders of Life would be reopening (at least for December), since the entire pavilion seems to be missing from this edition. Oh, well - that's the fun of publishing something like this - there's always news coming out, so your product is instantly out of date. Thank goodness they keep updates on their site!

Hrm. That makes it sound like I'm running Passporter down, which I'm not. I cherish my copy! :thumbsup2

Got my Refill update Mpnday could not wait to read it only 2 more weeks to go. Just wish the new DVD would get here. I love this book and all the pockets make so handy for each day of my trip I keep all my receiipts seperated and write all my notes what was good and bad.

Got mine too
I've never seen it before as UK shops don't stock it i love journalling so this will be a lot of fun

Passporter is a good one, always good, logical and helpful updates, every year. :thumbsup2

I love my Passporter too!! Passporter and the EZ fun guide are my favorites followed very closely by the UG. Enjoy your research!! :surfweb: I think it adds to the anticipation of your trip!

Yep, love my Passporters, I haven't got 2007 yet, but plan on ordering soon. Love the info, love the updates, love the pockets, easy to read. It's a great guide for everyone, 1st timers and Disney veterans.

Does anyone have the downloadable 500 tips guide that Passporter offers on their website? I was thinking of ordering it with my new Passporter and was just wondering how it is? Do they update it often or do you get alot of outdated tips too?

I just got my 07 version yesterday, I love this book! I never gave it a try until a few months ago when I got the 05 version for $1.00. I'm hooked now.

Yeah! I have waited to order mine because I didn't want to pre-order and wait for 2 mnths! I am going to order it ASAP. I already have UG and birnbaums since this is only my 2nd trip first trip I was 15 and it is DH first trip!! YEAH! :woohoo:

I'm about a third of the way into the 2007 version...plenty of new info since I last got it in 2005. :thumbsup2 ...UG was pretty much the same in 2007 from 2005.

I love the UG for planning my itinerary, but prefer the Passporter for maps, hotels and food. I carry both with me to Orlando, but neither into the parks (by then, I have everything planned out on a spread sheet and I don't want to carry anything else with me).

I do, however, keep all our paper keepsakes in the Passporter pockets. Go back to the hotel each day and put that day's stubs, napkins, etc...in.

Patiently waiting for mine. I know it is on it's way (got an email) but since I am in Canada it takes a bit longer to get here. I am thinking and hoping it will be here next week. :)

I have the 2006 Pass Porter-We are going for Christmas week next month...should I get the new 2007 edition-are there many changes?

I didn't notice anything hugely critical. And definitely nothing you wouldn't be aware of if you read the DIS religiously! :goodvibes

It has the Year of a Million Dreams info instead of Happiest Celebration on Earth, some updated attraction info (Nemo, plus small changes in info for a few others), updated pricing info, and the like.

At least, that's all I've noticed so far. Has anyone else noticed any big changes in the '07 Passporter versus the '06?

Thanks-I thought those would probably be the changes...and I do read the DIS religiously! :teeth:

I think I'm fine with what I have for this trip.

I've been anxious to get my update for my Deluxe because it's supposed to have expanded Dining Plan info. Does anyone who already received their 07 Passporter have any opinion about the new dining section?

pp 199 through 242 cover dining in the new version.

p 199 is an overview.
p 200 is also overview, but points out specific sections of the book that may be helpful for specific dining strategies and preferences.
p 201 talks about advance reservations.
pp 202-203 talk about the Disney Dining Plan, including tips on whether the plan may be financially right for you, and other tips on using the things available at the parks and resorts (such as refillable mugs and snacks) to maximize your benefit under the plan.
pp 204-205 cover the basics of dining Disney style, such as the terms used (character meals, dinner shows), the dress code, smoking, etc. p 205 also includes some time- and money-saving tips.
pp 206-233 are the actual reviews of the various dining establishments at WDW.
p 234 discusses character meals.
p 235 gives a handy chart for character dining, including the restaurant's name, meal served (breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner), the type of meal (buffet, plate, snack, etc.), the characters present, and a sentence or two's description of the atmosphere and fare.
p 236 goes into detail about Hoop-Dee-Doo
p 237 goes into detail about the Spirit of Aloha Dinner
p 238 details the special shows that may be available, such as during holidays, at the House of Blues, etc.
p 239 Goes over the special dining opportunities, such as things available during the Flower & Garden Festival and the Food & Wine Festival, holiday dinners, and dining with an Imagineer.
pp 240-241 offer meal and ADR worksheets.
242 finishes up the section with some more tips on having memorable dining experiences at WDW.

Overall, I'd say it's a very complete and well-written section.

They are also noting participating restraunts via a key with what type of points would be used....we're not planning on doing the dining plan, so I haven't looked too closely.
