Just consider the bill as an innoculation against "addonitis".

Addonitis is one of the reasons I decided to pay our annual dues once a year in a lump sum. Every time I start dreaming about more points, I think of the "new" annual dues amount. So far, it's worked every time - no points purchase and a switch to "winning the lottery" daydreams instead.
