:bounce: :Pinkbounc I got one too !!, but I just came back 5/28/04 !!. What are the chances that I will get one again, has that ever happened to anyone ? I really really want to go in January 2005. Wonder how they send these out, the price is so unbelieveable !! Please tell me you think I'll get another !!

Yes, I have gotten 2. One in '02 and one the other day. I wish I could have used this one, but I couldn't. I did use the last one. It was a great deal. Hope we both get another one and can put them to good use. :D

I received a postcard in May at my workplace with my maiden name. The postcard was only for the value resorts---I think only Pop Century at $59/night. We hadn't planned on using it but after checking around at offsite hotels, we ended up using it June 21-25. I made my reservations the week before we left-didn't even have time to receive a confirmation in the mail! As my husband would have the vehicle, me and 8 year old son stayed there and used transportation if we wanted to leave. It ended up being a good value and we got to stay at Pop Century.

We go every year and Disney knows it! When I book they know when we were last there, where and how long we stayed and the age of DD. We have never gotten a postcard! Do they send these to anyone who goes yearly?

I got one too. My last stay at a Disney resort was 2/2003 at the All stars for a quick weekend trip. I've stayed 3 times since then at the Dolphin, and I'll be at the Vistana next month. I just figure they're trying to get me to come back! This is the second one I've gotten. Unfortunately, I can't use this one either. Maybe next time they'll send one during a time I can use it.

Yay! I got one too! (TWO actually....one for me, and one for my fiancée!) Since January, I think we'd received two at different times that were unusable.

I almost wet myself cause I figured for CERTAIN I wouldn't get one for our dates since we'd already received two! But there it was!! Although I'd had AAA rates when I booked, the savings were $1005 from rack rates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My rates ended up being (for those interested):

Beach Club Standard View: $221.80/night (tax included)
Polynesian Garden View: $233/night (tax included)

I got the same postcard and called for some rates. The thing that confused me is that before giving me rates, she asked how many times I've been to Disneyworld since 1997. It also asked me this before I was connected to someone.

Is this something new, or does the rate you are quoted depend on the number of trips you've made? Does anyone know?

The rates quoted were great, but I'm wondering if they are better or worse based on how many visits since 1997.

I just booked through CRO with the postcard that you are speaking of. They did ask me how many times I'd been to WDW but not in a certain time frame (like since 1997 as you stated). I told the lady 15-20 times since I used to go every year with my parents but then she asked me when the last time I visited was. I then told her 1996. I did receive the $49 rate for All Star Music with no other questions asked.

I got one too and unfortunately I can't use it either. Of course it was in DH's name anyway, and he doesn't want to go back for a long time, so even if I got one for a convenient time I suppose I still couldn't use it.

I don't think it matters if the postcard doesn't come in your name. My BF got one in the mail and I called to make the reservation (in my name and on my credit card) but I used his promo code off of the postcard. The reservation agent did ask if he was coming with me on the trip, and I said yes. Maybe that was good enough?

Add me to the list......I received my postcard on 9/26 and I had
Disney on the phone within 30 mins of reading my mail. I am
now booked at Pop Century for 9/14 - 9/22.

Let the countdown begin....

Hmm with sunkissed 212 suggestion, does anyone know FOR SURE if these are non-transferable?

I got one for the Value resorts too. I just went in May and I'm going back in September to stay in a vacation home but I would love to be able to pass this offer on to someone else who could use it!

Anyone want to give it a try? I'd mail you the postcard if you thought it would work.

Brenda

I'd love to know too. My SIL is dying to use mine in Sept., since we aren't going until December!

We're in the exact same boat. They just sent me a flyer, all personalized, saying "we know you like to visit in Oct" and listing all the activities at that time of year, but the only rates listed were rack rates. We usually tack our trip onto visiting relatives, so we only stay 2 nights, which is probably why they don't ever send "the" postcard. Did it ever occur to them that maybe we'd stay longer if they did send us "the" postcard?? We're good for going at least once, sometimes twice a year. If anything, the personalized flyer made me mad knowing that lower rates are available but weren't offered to us. Not only that, but we're interested in DVC and have spoken at length with a DVC rep on the phone whom I told we would be visiting this fall but still - nada.

I got one like that a few months ago, but since then I got this postcard so keep your fingers crossed. :D

Yeah -so there's hope then! Thanks for the info :sunny:

My boyfriend got the postcard and the only way disney has his name and address is that I had disney send the vacation videos to him and indicated that he had only been to disneyworld once. I had the vacation videos sent to me too but I indicated that I had been there 5 times in the last few years and I didn't get a postcard.

I had NEVER even been to WDW and received one in the mail in my maiden name a few months ago. It was for a value resort and came a few days after I booked my June trip. I did register awhile ago on the Disney site and did request a vacation video, but these were all in my married name. I have been married since 98, so who the heck knows how I got one. Regardless, I would "love" to get another one for our upcoming trips. :)

I told them I'd been there 4 times in the last ten years (five, now) and I have gotten two postcards since January! If I stop getting them in my name, my husband is just going to have to register. He has only been twice in 10 years. And for a possible upcoming girls' trip, my sister (3 times, 10 years) will register too. Hopefully that will help. And those vacation dvds are cool.
