Got my 1st Mac and it's defective! HELP!

I got the 2007 model of the Mac Quest 2 days ago. I love everything about it except that it's making this weird clicking noise only on the rear left tires. My DH and I both tried to figure out why and we can't fix it. It seems that the brake is rubbing somewhere. If you engage the brake and then disengage it, the noise stops briefly but then starts right up again.

I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back since I ordered it online. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I guess I'm not sure what kind of suggestions you're looking for, if you don't want to return it? Are you thinking about repairing it? Have you tried emailing Maclaren? Though I'm sure they'll tell you to return it. Tough situation.

Good luck! It stinks when you have to deal with a defective delivery item.

And to top it off, I bought the stroller at Babies R Us and they no longer have this model available. If I return it, I will just get a refund and won't be able to get a replacement.

I guess I'll try contacting Maclaren directly and see if they have any suggestions.

I would return it to babies r us and buy one somewhere else. I don't have any experience with getting a mac fixed, but I have read posts about people needing repairs and they were required to bring it or ship it to maclaren and were without their stroller for some time.

Ebay usually has quite a few for sale and I know that other people have mentioned getting good deals at other websites too. If you search around the board a little I'm sure you can find some names of other websites that sell them cheaper than babies r us.

Ours does that sometimes, but we figured out that it is when the break is partially engaged. I am not sure if that's what is happening with yours because you said it stops and starts again when you put the break on and off. Maybe try making sure that it is all the way in the off position.

I'd return it and see if the prices on www.mystrollers.com are good. We got our '08 Volo at a great price there, and a rain cover for the jogger in a separate transaction. Fast shipping, too.

Thanks for all of the advice! I'm going to contact BabiesRUs today for the return. I am going to order a new one from babye-store for $20 less.

I just hope the new one doesn't have this same problem and that this is just a fluke occurence.
