Your bands are linked to your MDX account. Your tickets will be linked to your MDX account. So yes.

No data is "on" the bands other than a unique identifier used to access your MDX account on Disney's secure servers.

I just want to make sure that our tickets will be activated before we get to the parks. Just to reduce wasted time....

If they are tickets and not vouchers, there is no "activation" necessary.
