I am currently booked at Pop for 6 nights with FD (upgraded to DD) Would you stay off-site first night or add another night to reservation at Pop. The cost to add a night without DD is $146/with is $176. I think we could probably book a decent hotel for around $65 in Orlando so do you think the extra $100 is worth no having to move. I'm sure I could get a $100 out of the DD because I am going with 3 adults. I checked there are no discounts (room only) if I just did a single night reservation at Pop.

What to do???

That depends on how big of a pain moving would be. If you are driving, you could just bring an overnight bag into the offsite for the first night; if you are flying, you'll have to bring in everything twice.

I would probably save the $100.

Remember that $100 is food. You'll have to eat anyway. How much would your food for that night cost?

I would want to settle into my room and get an early start the next morning so no question, I would add that first night only my existing reservation.

Also, consider whether or not you'll have a car. If not, you can just take the ME and not have to worry about paying for transportation if you have to switch from another hotel to the Pop. I would take the extra night at Pop just for convenience sake and it will give you another day at Disney in general.

We were in this same position but the difference for us was closer to $150. We decided to do the extra day at POP. We are going to do some miniature golf, eat at Cape May and let the kids get some extra pool and resort time. I just felt like it was worth the $150especially on a travel day to get settled in and start the Disney part of the vacation a little sooner. Park tickets are so cheap to add extra days we actually got them in case we want to just go stroll down Main Street and grab a snack or something.

Edit: I just looked at my notes and adding the extra day was a difference of $179 so exactly what yours would cost. I had $100 for hotel and $100 set aside for dinner that day already. The extra day at POP with upgrading dining came to $379.
