Add us to the list of positive cases coming home from Disney. We were at CCR/WLV for 9 nights starting June 20th. Our DD16 started having congestion two days before we left. Our DS's best friend was with us and tested every day. All negative. Wednesday the 29th we tested before checking out and doing the 15+ hr drive home. All negative. Around 11:45pm, as we were unpacking at home DD, for fun, sticks the thermometer in her mouth and she has a low-grade fever. The next two days she tests negative.
By Sunday morning at 8am DS who lives in his own home texted the group he is positive for Covid. I woke up my DD and tested her and low and behold the fastest I have ever seen a test come back positive. Both have been in isolation since. Even symptom free my DD refuses to risk infecting her dad and I, we are both high risk. Our local health dept said she could come out of her room but she is refusing until she tests negative. Our DS is the same he won't come to our house and risk seeing us even though his symptoms are gone.
Neither are high risk nor got Pavloid and both seem to have recovered well. DD still tests positive as of this morning but the line was very faint so it must be moving out of her system.
One interesting thing to me is her pediatrician expressed the need for her to have her own bathroom and us not cross contaminate, always using gloves when transfering items. I am glad we were not all in Disney sharing a bathroom.
Our other DD gets married the 16th and two members of the bridal party, plus my kids have tested positive. It is a destination wedding so I am crossing my fingers we can get through that without issues.
