just wanted to share about my mostly solo trip!

Day 1, Friday: My plane landed at 7:30am! I was off to magic kingdom to meet a cast member friend of mine to hang out for the afternoon. We did Pirates, Big Thunder Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and space mountain. She had to leave early so I did buzz's space spin and a few other rides by myself. Overall- great first day.

Saturday- no park day!!! Off to discovery cove to swim with a dolphin. AMAZING experience and I highly recommend it. My day was "all inclusive" so that means unlimited breakfast buffet, unlimited snacks, unlimited lunch buffet, unlimited drinks/alcohol. They had an area to "snorkel" with fish and stingrays. I touched a few stingrays which was cool! Not a fan of fish so I didn't go in that water far at all. Evening I went to Disney's Boardwalk. Not very much to do without spending a lot of money.

Sunday- I went to Animal Kingdom at park opening. I met Pochahautes. Not overly impressed with the interaction. I also met Doug and Russel from UP. Long wait, but made for cute pictures. I like animal kingdom for the safari ride and dinosaur, usually animal kingdom is less walking which is nice! I also did typhoon lagoon. Those waves are fun!!! Fun water park and it was nice to "break" in the lazy river.

Monday- AK extra magic hours and road the safari twice in a row with no wait! Then I went to the water park (blizzard beach), and then Epcot for the evening. I met Joy and Sadness in the evening. Long wait! Almost an hour. Loved how the pictures turned out though! I think I also did Epcot that day (I THINK!!! Just can't keep my days straight ;) I saw the Lion King show. Great show. I had a fast pass. They still unfortunately somewhat assign seating. I asked to sit in a front row that wasn't being used (it was not the handicapped row). And he got rude and said "no that is reserved for families only." That's not the first time Disney has made me feel like I'm doing something wrong by coming solo.

Tuesday I went to Sea World. I enjoyed seeing the Penguins. Not impressed with this park though so don't even try comparing it to Disney. You have to rent lockers for roller coasters and not even given the option to leave your (small) bag at the start of the ride. Rental was $1 per hour which is inexpensive, but I was not happy about it. Evening I went to Disney Springs for D-luxe Burger and to have some solo devotions time. I brought my bible and a notebook and was stared down by a family who looked Muslim for over 35 minutes, and felt very uncomfortable. Eventually they left without eating and yelled at the cook before they left. Food was good but expensive for quick service.

Wednesday- I did a water park in the afternoon (Typhoon Lagoon) and Epcot in the morning. I did the Epcot Character spot, Soar In', met Mary Poppins, and Alice. I headed to Animal Kingdom at 3pm for reservations at Tusker House. My favorite Disney restaurant!!! Food is always excellent. I met the characters several times as they came around. I wanted to get my picture with all the characters at once, and to make a long story short, I was able to plan to come back that evening at 8:45pm to get my picture with all the characters from Tusker House. First I took a nap, then got all dressed up for the picture. Then I did Magic Kingdom in the evening! Road several rides and met the princesses. EMH were til 1am. Lots of fun.

Thursday- I was back at magic kingdom. I love magic kingdom. I enjoyed the parades and took some fun pictures. Then for the evening I went to AK just to see Jungle Book, then back to MK just to see the electrical parade (my favorite). My week snuck up on me, and realized I hadn't done any night shows or fireworks. After all this terrorism, fireworks have me nervous and I'm sad I let that deter my plans a little. In my own twisted way, the loud "booms" make me feel scared because I'm afraid I won't hear explosions or gunshots. Sad I think that way, and I realize that fireworks aren't exclusive to any of those attacked, but I was just a little "too" aware. I have seen the night shows before when I was there in March.

Friday- back at magic kingdom lol!! Met gaston and Peter Pan (they are amazing!!!!) then I did Epcot in the evening. I had to be back to Pop century by 5:30 to catch the Tragical Express by 6:55. I wanted to eat dinner at the resort to save some rushing around. Pop century's Turkey sandwich with avocado is AMAZING. And I'm impressed by their portions for the price. Huge sandwich with two sides for 11.49.

Speaking of the tragical express- it was LATE and the 6:55 tragical express never showed up. My flight was at 9:50 and I was panicking. Cast members were overly calm and didn't seem to care. The 7:25 tragical express was late and didn't show up til 7:45. I'm lucky security was empty, because otherwise I would have barely made my flight. Til I found out around 9pm the flight was delayed until 11:30 anyways.

Any questions, feel free to ask or comment on anything!

WOW, you really did a lot of hopping. We always purchase hoppers and rarely hop except on EMH at MK Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

We were there at the same time as you and did a ton of hopping too. I'll bet we crossed paths at some point. Were you tired by the end? Our last few days we were running out of gas because we overdid it a little bit early on. The light crowds sure made it a bit easier to hop around and do a lot of things.

I bet we did too!! And I was exhausted. But not as exhausted from my 5 day trip in March. Going to the water parks seemed very relaxing and easy because I mostly floated down the lazy river! LOL.
