Like every year, our Cedar Point weekend was a blast. We went with another couple and their 2 boys (4 and 7). The weather on Friday night wasn't too great...lots of rain but it let up enough for us to go to the park and ride some rides.
Saturday was absolutely gorgeous...maybe a little on the "too hot" side.
We were able to sneak a cooler in (w/pops, waters, munchies and some adult beverages at night). We just stuck it in the stroller and they didn't even question it. Actually saw quite a few people with strollers. I even had a duffle bag I carried with munchies and pops too....So, I guess they aren't too strict in that new rule.
Went on the new ride...wicked twister. OMG!!! First, I am not too keen on rides anyway. BUT, my new favorite is the Magnum. I also LOVED the Rockin Roller coaster at WDW. But this Wicked Twister was anything but fun for me. DH, Brenda and Dan went first while I stayed with the kids. Then when they were done....they all said...for me to go on it with DH. (The wait was no longer than 15 minutes).
I questioned DH and he assured me that I would love it........I was so MAD......All I kept saying the whole ride was "I hate you....I hate you" to DH for making me go on it. I have never been so scared in my entire life!!! It was just STUPID!!!! I couldn't even open my eyes!!!!! I hated it!!!
And you know when you get off a good ride....you feel your adrenaline go up.....you're all happy??.....When I got off I was just sooo MAD!!....It was a terrible feeling. Afterwards, Brenda and Dan admitted they hated it too....but DH still says he loves it!!!
The kids had a blast too. DD Morgan went on the Gemini (my all time favorite) for her first time. Don't think she liked it too well....she is a little "chicken" about these things
DH, Brenda, and Dan didn't get to go on the Millineum this year....I don't know why they didn't go....I was willing to watch the kids and all (since I will not go on this)
They are building a new ride too, it is going to be 100 feet taller that the Millineum...not as steep of a drop, but higher and more turns and loops.
Anyway, sorry for rambling.....maybe I will post some pics later....actually maybe someone could post them for me since I don't have a website......
Thanks
Lisa
