Got AOA Free Dining!!!

I booked a Lion King Suite for our dates with free dining. I am booked at Bonnet Creek for those dates, but now that free dining is in the mix I'd like to stay at AoA. We're bringing dd's friend this time and that makes us a party of five.
We have AP's so I will use the tickets we had to get with the free dining against next years AP renewal. I'll move BC forward and try it on our February trip next year. I was excited to try Bonnet Creek but if I can stay onsite for almost the same price once you figure in the fact that I no longer have to pay OOP for meals, and don't need to rent a car, the savings isn't as great.

I'm excited!!

I just called to switch to the Little Mermaid section for the last week in September. I was told by a very friendly cast member that they are not booking any rooms in the LM building yet. They were planning on them opening by the end of the year, but are now ready for mid-September.. . . just not booking yet. He also said that maybe they released a few rooms early and it never hurts to try calling again. Is it worth it to call tonight to get a different cast member? Or will I most likely get the same response?

I was able to book a LM room on March 24th for an October 1st arrival date.

I just called to try and switch during our dates (Sept 24-29) and was told that I could have booked a family suite with the free dining but the Little Mermaid rooms weren't available for these dates.
(due to the cost difference to a suite from our standard at Sports I opted not to change)

I'm getting the same answer for our dates 9/24-10/1. I'll guess I'll just have to walk across the bridge and take a look but it would have been fun to stay there.

I just took a chance and called to try and get AOA free dining for 9/29-10/7 but no luck with the Little Mermaid rooms. I still think they will open up more dates so we will see.

Im with you. Really odd they only had the 1st week open. I called within 10 minutes of the announcement and all they had was the 15th -22nd for LM . The castmember couldnt explain it either. She did agree no way they sold out n 10 minutes though. I asked her if there were certain dates blocked out for the Lm rooms in that offer and she checked her computer and said that no there was nothing showing only certain dates for LM. :confused3 We would save around 1,800 to 2,000 . So I am really hoping it was a glitch and they will open them up soon !

I am wondering if offering the Little Mermaid rooms at all is a glitch. It does seem weird its only one week, and the first week open. Thanks for the good idea to add a room only for our last night...we really wanted to fly in on Friday night, but LM section doesn't open til Sat night, so I guess we could do a room only there too, but don't know that I want to do POP for one night and then haul our stuff across the bridge for the rest of the trip!

Might be worth it though to have...one more Disney day. :mickeyjum

We are currently booked at ASMo for 9/29-10/4 with our 6th night in a LM room with an AAA discount. I also came up with nothing to switch the whole week to LM. One night is better then nothing but my DD would prefer the whole week!! I'll keep checking to see if anything opens up.

Has ANYONE had any luck booking a FD LM room for anything in Sept other than 15-22? I've been trying practically every 2 week combo from 15-30, and still I'm only getting suites.

If anyone has luck booking a LM room for any time other than 15-22, please share! Thanks :thumbsup2

I've been booked at LM for about 2.5-3 weeks now (for a December stay). The first couple days I was "thinking of booking" the LM rooms were available online, then one morning they were gone!!! SO I called and booked. The CM said they were selling out so quickly on the LM rooms that he thinks they potentially pulled most of them offline, so people had to call. Not sure the reasoning for that. But he said it was what they had been discussing that day in the office (that most the LM rooms were offline).

Yesterday they only had the reg family suites for 9/29-10/5 avail and then this AM they added Lion King and Cars suites so it's changing daily. I am going to try calling tomorrow to see if I can get a LM suite...just incase the PP was right and it's better luck to call.

I've called 3 times now, trying to switch from Pop to a LM room; no luck! Though the CM today did say I am always welcome to call back.

Yep, you can just save them. It's up to you if you want to remove them from your KTTW card or not. If you leave the tickets on them, just write with a Sharpie that you have tickets on them so you don't throw them away by accident.:thumbsup2

Forgive the intrusion -- I'm already booked at AoA in a Nemo Suite Aug. 25-31, but I'm thinking of switching to LK -- if I can make the FD a better deal. My issue is my dh will not go into the Parks. So, I understand I can remove his 2-day ticket from his KTTW card. My question is -- do I have to put that ticket on a card with a specific person's name for future use, and if I do, can it be my name? If so, it is a no-brainer as we will be back in Jan. for marathon weekend...

Thanks for all your help!

Hmmm...not sure how they would handle that one. I would sent a private message to Cheshire Figment. He is the ticket guru around here and if anyone would know the answer, it would definitely be him. Good luck, and come back and update with what he said.!:goodvibes

Checking back!

Wow, what great advice to check with Cheshire Figment!

The unused tickets are totally transferrable. The suggestion was to leave it on my dh's KTTW card, and then when I come back in January have it moved onto my new KTTW card.

I am psyched -- I was paying rack rate anyway, so Free Dining here we come!

Great news! Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

We just booked little mermaid for September 15- 23rd with free dining. We originally book a room only for the little mermaid on the 15th and then port orleans french quarter for the rest of the trip. but was able to change it to all AOA . We are so excited to go .

We ironically are going September 15 to September 22 and want the Little Mermaid rooms! I called last week when it was showing availability online and they said they only had two rooms available (we need four)! I figured I would just call back in a few days, and check again.

Fast forward to today, I was reading this thread and figured I might as well try. I called, and they were able to get us all four rooms switched to the Little Mermaid rooms! We are so excited! Not only are we getting Free Dining but we are getting to stay in a brand new hotel with brand new rooms, never slept in!

The CM kept telling me it was going to be like a new car smell room! So excited here in Ohio!

I hope everyone is able to get what they want!

We just switched from FD two rooms at Pop for our family of six to the Lion King family suites. To say we are excited is a ginormous understatement! :)
